I wouldn't be surprised if Austin started but I think that line up is way too small even against a relatively small team like Denver. Chandler will have a field day against Redick or Rivers

I think I saw on Twitter that Pierce is going to start tonight. I was thinking Wes Johnson is probably a better option. I don't trust Pierce for more than hitting the occasional shot. Too bad Brice Johnson isn't healthy, hopefully he can get some PT soon with Blake being out.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I agree- Wes Johnson is better suited to guard a guy like Chandler or Gallinari. Pierce probably won't play much though.
Brice Johnson looked like he had some potential in summer league- I agree that it would be great if could get healthy enough to play

I know this was just one game but the clippers seem to play more freely with Blake out. It happened last season as well. I don't think they are actually a better team without him, but if they could somehow trade him for an all star level wing player like George or butler, they'd be a top notch team. Highly unlikely I know, but just a thought

I fell asleep and missed the whole game. Luckily I was able to stay up and watch the replay. Chris is playing like his usual self, it was great to see JJ knock down most of his shots, and good to see Luc being a factor on offense.
One small thing I wanted to point out is that Luc is doing a better job of contributing on offense this season. Last year he could barely hit anything on the court. This year he's getting to the hoop and hitting the corner 3. I hope he keeps up his production and it's necessary with Blake out.

I think having both Paul and Griffin is somewhat redundant in the regular season and I've had this thought for years now. If Blake was a dominant offensive force, it would be different but...having both on the floor at the same time doesn't mean we are twice as good, if that makes any sense. I think Blake is better with the ball in his hands than just the pick and pop. He's evolved into a lesser version of Hornets era David West with the jumper but that's not really playing to his strengths. He obviously excels as a point forward. Paul obviously wants the ball in his hands and it's tough to argue the results. I never really thought their chemistry has ever been off the charts even when Blake was a high fly act.

Luc has been amazing this year. He's not even expected to score any points either. But you can tell with him, it's been a point of emphasis to cut to the basket like Matt Barnes used to do and hit the corner 3. He even drove to the basket hard a couple times during this game and I'm glad he understands he needs to be somewhat of a threat or else teams don't have to guard him on the other end.
