Without a true superstar, Clippers have nobody who can sway or sweet talk referees into having the benefit of the doubt. James Harden can get away with fouls and travels because of his All-Star status (and for having Chris Paul, president of Players Association). LeBron James is playing for a legacy franchise. Warriors are defending champions. Valiant as they may be for a role player team, they stand no chance against the accolade assassins.
With the loss, Clippers are now 17-13, and are two games away from being in the lottery bracket.

good effort
good game
the non-call on Gallo was a travesty
so was the phantom call on Bradley
and of course the fragrant 2 on Trezz
I'll be surprised if the league lets it stand
nice job by Bev--10 pts 11 assists
Shai had a career high 24 pts in a career high 38 minutes
Tobias a career-high 39 points
oh well, onward--11 of the next 15 are at home
make or break

My Game Assessment
I liked the fight shown tonight as that spirit had been missing for most of our losing streak. Beverley may be getting most of the consideration for the starting lineup but I'm liking the idea of a Shai-and-Ty backcourt. Wallace's lack of shot might hurt us in some respect with Gortat occupying the middle but he at least drives to the basket, which is more than Bradley has been doing. It would at least open up room for Shai to get open looks from the perimeter, which could lead to opening up driving lanes for him as well. It would also give us more length and arguably better defense.
Rookie SGA may have lost the game for us at the line but it's an experience that he needed for his development. Still, the game was lost earlier in the game and the referees certainly didn't help matters at all, but I was most definitely encouraged with our individual defensive effort towards the end of the game particularly from Shai, Pat, and Gallo.
Losing Lou may be hurting us but we should be able to play well without him, otherwise, what exactly is the point of having depth?

Long Past Time, Doc
Remember how I said Doc was slow to make adjustments if he even made them at all? What the hell took so long? It took a losing streak and blatantly obvious stats for him to come to this consideration. Better late than never does not apply since lollygagging hurts our postseason and lottery chances at the same time. Indecisive approach only puts us in blackhole of limbo.

About damn time but this could likely just be a quick stint of Boban for Gortat

Don't know how many games they can get so little production out of 2 starters and win. I think Portland's starting guards had over 60 points. Sounds like they might make a change to the starting lineup. Anyone know what it will be?
Bev for Avery?
Trezz for Gortat?
Scott for Gallo (just to give the second unit some help till Lou gets back?)

My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point.
