Doc doesn't want Nuggets to have too much Boban, or else they'll figure him out and counter accordingly. Denver already has. Boban, and the Clippers as a whole, no longer has that "surprise" factor they can use to stump opponents like lowly lottery teams usually do. Without a superstar, they're a lottery team pretending to be a playoff contender in order to impress and recruit Kawhi Leonard.
If the Clippers can change their philosophy by making their schemes be about the game and not their resume, which is what I'm seeing based on their play, they'll be able to right this ship.
