The way Doc handles Shai's playing time is still indefensible. Some things never change.

What the heck happened last night?
Trezz with 6 turnovers and only 1 rebound?
Lou only played 17 minutes?

This team needs a center who rebounds ASAP. Hopefully the new kid can fit that role.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Proof that anyone who thought that things can't get any worse had no imagination. You just can't throw a bunch of bodies out there. That's what G-league is for.

One big thing—we played the wrong team. Without Zubac, we don’t have a “big” 5. Trezz has wingspan but he’s doesn’t have height or a lot of bulk. Same with Motley. Delgado has some bulk but doesn’t have wingspan—and was playing in his first NBA game.

Putting those guys out there against Myles Turner, who is a rising star … and is 6’11.5 and 240, with a huge wingspan, is a problem. Big, skilled guys were a problem before—they’ll still be a problem with Zubac, who is more fluid and mobile but less tough and grinding than Gortat. Without Zubac … well, Turner and Sabonis got 25 points on 14 shots, and Turner got 6 blocks and 4 steals. Nobody had the size to body him out of the paint. It’ll be less of a problem when Zubac gets here—but we just didn’t have the big man depth to match up last night.

(btw ... Green is very good rebounder; much much better than Scott was, He'll help a lot on the boards.)

Yeah, Delgado has short arms. Gallo looked much bigger.

Good post. Sabonis was a bear. And I would say that the Clips aren't quite quick enough to the hole, and that's why Turner ate them for breakfast. In particular, the NBA seems to have figured out Shai's stealth moves. He goes over, not around you, so you just play him vertically. Right now he's hitting only 62% at the rim, less than Austin Rivers.

[BTW, Shai's 3-pt% is the same as Austin's too--a little under 32%.]
