To the stats:

The Doc-haters' favorite tar baby is Zubac's playing time. In a 20-30 point laugher, in 16 minutes tonight Zubac was only plus+1, with 2 points, 4 rebs, 1 assist and 3 turnovers and 4 fouls. By any measure, Zu was the worst Clipper who took the floor tonight.

Meanwhile Trezz was plus+30, a team high even over Kawhi's +24. Trezz brings it every night. This is not to say Zu is a bad player or even a bad person. But the math agrees with any eye test. Minutes for Zu are fraught. He's still a project. Meanwhile Trezz is da bomb.

Tonight, Doc squeezed in more minutes for Jerome again, and even gave T-Mann another chance while the game was still close after his disastrous 1 minute against the Spurs where we pissed away our narrow lead and never recovered.

Doc is coaching better than he ever has. People grow, even championship coaches. Doc wants another ring, and is still hungry. Maybe he coached Lob City like he coached his Garnett Celtics, but he's not gonna repeat that mistake.

[Or maybe he coached Lob City like he coached his championship Celtics, but Chris and Blake and DJ and JJ weren't up to the job...?]
