The Clippers haven't lost since I brought the "Fire Doc" sig back, just saying.

I joined Realgm on February 11th.
Since I joined, the Clippers lost 3 in a row and won 6 in a row.

Although unimpressive, Austin was still plus+4 tonight, and the much-maligned Jeff Green scored 17 points at only a minus-1 in a 15-point loss.

Austin and Jeff Green were favorite whipping boys for the Doc Derangement crowd, but they're both still in the league, and in a playoff rotation.

TVD, you can't be serious.

What was Silver Spoon's +/- prior to the starters, Lou and Harrell taking an early night on the bench? Spoon didn't record a single point prior to that. He only scored once we emptied the bench. He only shot 1-3 against are victory cigar roster.

Sure the score ended a 15 pt game, but that game was over long before that. A bunch of garbage buckets that had no impact on the final outcome. it was so bad, Harden sat on the bench the last 15 minutes.

Over half of Jeff Green's points came after the Rockets were down 25. I don't recall you clamoring for us to use our last roster spot to sign him to a 10 day deal.

Any Clippers fan that suffered through the Silver Spoon era, can bash him. He was a 10 day contract level player that we overpaid for years. He destroyed our ability to sign a better supporting cast and destroyed team chemistry. He was given minutes and didn't earn them. Seen plenty of gaffes he made where he fakes an injury to try to hide his gaffe. He is finally getting paid his true value.

That's not a "just sayin'," that's a motivational move.

The Clipper's real motivation is a 3-game losing streaks. Teams who lose three in a row in the regular season are now in danger of being eliminated in the playoffs. The more losing streaks they have, the quicker they are eliminated. Remember, no team in NBA history has ever recovered from a 3-0 playoff series deficit.

I have to give Doc a lot of credit. He didn't try to match the Houston small ball line-up, Plus, he just gave a blue print to other teams to beat the Rockets.

Austin was slightly overpaid in the contract madness of the summer of 2016, but so were dozens of players. For us, there was no choice but to sign him and Jamal--we were capped out and could sign only our own players or minimum wagers.

And he's been up and down since, but Austin's numbers for us were fine, especially his last season when he got to play the 2, his natural position [15-4-2 on 42%/38% shooting]. "Silver Spoon" is nonsense, a myth unsupported by the facts.

Same with Jeff Green, who played ok for us, especially in the playoffs. He was brought in to be a 6'9" SF beside Blake, but Blake went down [twice] and Green spent most of his time as a Clipper at the 4, not his natural position.

They weren't great, but the myths sliming them are without factual support. And the point is, they still have jobs in the NBA, on a playoff team at that, while the favorites of the Doc haters are home watching from their couch. Why somebody had to pick THIS game to d-bag Austin shows how deep the Rivers Derangement Syndrome illness still goes. And it's a good time to set it straight. Like at the end of "The Godfather."

Just proving yet again how little your opinions have to do with facts and reality. Nothing but uninformed negativity and noise junking up our board. Please cut it out.

Yeah, they're not always gonna miss. But I think we can still outscore them, and making them work and play D is the way to beat them.

I think throughout the game Doc showed we could beat em with our normal lineup, as well as if we went small. Trez, Zu , and J-Myke murdered the rockets beautifully. That was a statement performance and I think the Rockets are less contenders without Capela. Our team is full of guys who can score at all levels but can also thrive in the rack/paint. Small ball is where the new NBAs at, just not with PJ Tucker at Center or Harden getting the jump ball lol..

Following the game, the Clippers were adamant that their strategy was always to make the Rockets adapt to them rather than the other way around.

“We the Clippers,” George said. “We the Clippers. They’re the Rockets. We the Clippers. They’re going to play their game, we’re going to play ours. That’s the same way Doc saw it. We’re going to play our game and they’re going to have to try to guard us instead of us trying to guard them. That’s what we stuck with.”
