Great job keeping it close with THREE STARTERS out. Reggie looked great, 20 points. Williams really does look shot. Hasn't been sharp for many games, in this one was 4 of 14 with only 11 total points. Let's hope the stars clear Covid land by Orlando
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

Only 34 total points from Morris, Kennard, and Lou. Not going to win with that output.

Didn't get a chance to watch the 2nd half but it looks like Sr didn't do jack in the 2nd half. Hard for us to win when Lou/Luke/Sr all have mediocre games.

Most annoying thing is that we all know this situation would never happen to the Lakers. The NBA would sooner postpone the whole season than make LeBron AND Davis sit out while testing negative during a difficult road trip.

So many guys given a chance to step up and they didn’t. Shame. They’re fighting hard at least.

I think Zu was tired out by the time he went out and Ibaka came in. Probably could of brought him back in but not that much time left

Lou-Had a spurt but went right back to bad Lou with poor shots and passing choices

Luke-Kind of floated around after starting the third strong. He definitely needed to be more aggressive in transition and dunk it. He missed two buckets that way

Mook-Same as Luke but he needed more shot attempts. Played solid defense but missed some good looks being indecisive

I think it’s the trade rumors and the roster change. Lou also relies on getting to the line to clean up some of his poor shooting but he’s not getting to the line at all this year

They needed to get Morris in the post instead of Batum. And they needed to use Mann as the attacker and kicking out to Kennard or Jackson in the corner instead of the other way around.

I know Patterson was cold last game but thought he deserved a chance tonight.

Yeah Batum wasn’t the right matchup for the speed and athleticism of the Hawks wings

hard to expect much with the two guys out.

good game for the rest of the squad to earn extra minutes. you'd ideally like to see them come up with some clearly defined roles for when one or both kawhi/pg are out, because they'll miss spot games throughout the season.

i thought lou missed some makeable shots. hit a couple more and this game is somewhat different. i do think he needs to be traded, still, but i can't imagine he has much value atm.

I think Lou knows it is unlikely he ends the season with the Clippers and therefore is emotionally lost. Hopefully they can find a decent trade for him sooner than later.

It was impressive they were able to keep the game close, but their shooting and defense were just enough off to lose.

It was infuriating watching Young bait the refs. This kind of stuff has been going on for years and the NBA has never cleaned it up- stop rewarding players for baiting. It is the most frustrating thing about the NBA.

Watched about an hour behind. Just checked in to see who would get scapegoated. ;-)

--Like much of LAST year, we threw a pickup team out there tonight. Lou is still off, but neither did Ty hit the LOU button and hand him the offense. Lou is still playing with one hand behind his back, went 4-14 for 11 points but still only finished minus-3.

--Meanwhile our 3rd and 4th-highest paid players Senior [minus-5, 10 points on 9 FGA] and Kennard [minus-4, 13 points on 13 shots] did next to nothing, but they continue to escape any blame. But if you want to play the scapegoat game, there it is. WE OWN Senior and Kennard for another 3 years @ $16M a year each.

That's what I got out of this game... :o

--Moving on, Zu did well enough. Ty only gave him 18 minutes--4 fouls--but Zu was our ONLY presence in the paint--10 rebs and 13 points, 7 of them from the foul line.

--As for T-Mann, a team-worst minus-14. But he started and gave Ty 34 minutes with 9 rebs and 4 steals. We lost by 9. As much as you can ask. Hey, nobody was to blame.

ADD: Reggie outperformed all three. Respect to our man playaloc, who keeps faith with his peeps like Reggie--

Reggie was signed--league minimum--to take minutes when Bev and Lou are out. Stepped up BIGTIME with 20 points, 7 rebs, 8 assists and only 2 TOs. Team-best minus-1.

I don't know if he'll ever get the back of the rotation [10-15 mpg] part right but with Pat Bev's injury history, Reggie might be needed during the playoffs, next man up. At the league minimum, he's a steal. At the moment, Senior and Kennard are the other way around.

emotionally lost

Excellent observation. :(

Even worse for Trezz last year. After his January outburst after a 50-point loss about the Kawhi and PG private locker room club--who suited up only when they felt like it--the org didn't get his back. So he just played angry all through February and his numbers were great. But then the COVID hit in April, the season was suspended, then his grandmother died. He came back to the Bubble dispirited and depressed. We lost.

[That isn't to say Trezz wasn't a "malcontent" or that 2021's isn't a better team with consummate pro Serge Ibaka here instead.]

It is what it is. Now it's Lou. The 2021 Clippers don't need what Lou Williams has to offer a team. DEFINITELY not in 2022!

Or at least they think they don't. That's why Ty didn't turn over the second half to Lou. Reggie played 39 minutes and Lou played 22. And T-Mann played 34.

Writing's on the wall. Lou can read it. You nailed it--Lou's heart is broke and you can't play this game without heart. Lou spends his days and hours now watching Twitter to find out where he's been traded.

If you weren't so much in love with your own garbage analysis and actually read posts here, you would realize that plenty of blame has been put on Morris and Luke.

We're an older team. All over 30:

Ibaka
Batum
Lou
Senior
Reggie

[Patterson too]

@KL2--I wouldn't even say we were outhustled as much as we lost to a young team that lives on hustle. I don't think Ty could have X-ed and O-ed our way out of this. I thought our guys hustled bigtime. We got outquicked, I think. But KL and PG don't get outquicked--they outquick YOU with guile.

As for the post, we don't have a single legit post player on this roster you can pound it into when you need a bucket.

But Zu had a couple tonight. Clumsy and ugly but he got us the hoop. There was one that had like 6 Eurosteps. That was very cool. :)
