Pretty pathetic how ungrateful you guys are for the player who carried the Raptors to their only ring even though it wasn't his choice to be there. I can understand Spurs fans being bitter about Kawhi, I can't understand the bitterness from Raptors fans.

Insert the .gif of Ballmer rubbing the thigh/legs of two people sitting beside him.

They'll never let it go. Their heavy presence on RealGM is the reason why we're so overwhelmingly hated on this site. They bring up the Kawhi situation in pretty much every thread no matter the topic.

Feel sorry for you Clips fans. This sounds almost verbatim how it started in SA. Mysterious injury, won't let the team rule him out, keeps saying he may come back, never does, distant from the team, reports of being unhappy with the medical staff, etc. Hope for the fans sake it doesnt play out the same because as a fan having gone through a top 5 player demanding out, it sucks big time

Nobody knows if the current rumor is close to being true. The only guy saying it is skip bayless and he has never been considered a good source.

It doesn’t really make any sense- knowing his history, I’m sure the clippers encouraged him to seek out his own medical consultations. Also, unlike the Spurs, they never publicly pressured him to return

I can see where it looks similar at first glance, but there's some key differences here.

For one thing, the secretive approach to Kawhi's injury is consistent with how the Clippers have handled other injuries in the past, well before the Kawhi era, much to the frustration of the fanbase at times. Luc Mbah a Moute's injury a few seasons ago, for example: the narrative all season was that he had a vague "sore knee" that was keeping him out, he kept saying on social media that he'd be back soon - then we found out on the second-to-last day of the season that he got surgery on the knee after all. So while it's tempting to assume that Kawhi is responsible for the lack of information, that might not actually be the case.

If I recall correctly, Kawhi also didn't attend any of the Spurs' playoff games while all that drama was going on. As much as people criticized him for sitting in a suite with his family this time around, he was still at the games.

Well I hope for your guys' sake you're right. But this is pretty much the same stuff I heard Spurs fans saying at the beginning before it all went to hell.

This is definitely fair too. At very least, this is a situation where Kawhi's quietness doesn't do him any favors. Hard to blame anyone for speculating in the absence of any real information.

I hope everything is all good and on the up and up with Kawhi with the team but if he wants out I hope we can get a sign and trade for him. I want Kawhi to resign but I'm team first always.
