This makes no sense. Kawhi's cap hold isn't significantly different than his salary. Also, if Kawhi and Jackson both signed for the vet minimum, the Clips would still be over the cap. That having been said, I don't see any way Kawhi is not a Clipper going forward. It is just a matter of how long the next contract will be.

Even that doesn't make sense to me. We can't possibly be thinking of giving up more draft picks. Players under contract that we can trade, Morris, Pat Bev, Kennard, Rondo, are not gonna fetch a return for a "Star". Sure maybe they could have fetch Westbrook, but did we want him ? Someone like CJ McCollum, Beal or Ben Simmons is gonna require draft assets to get. Porzingis, Love, Wiggins are more reasonable candidates to acquire, but why would we want them? We are not getting Lillard withouth giving up a 4-5 picks.
