Thank goodness we won, but that was an ordeal in a game that should have been easy.

Frustrating game to watch until the last 4 mins. PG and Reggie finally got smarter and attacked the paint instead of bricking long balls. Is Boston officially in our rotations, even after Batum comes back? I hope so. Glad to see Ty pulling the plug on Ibaka.

No game is easy when you have played the schedule the Clippers have played this season- way too many games in a short time frame.
Besides, Portland played better defense with CJ and Lillard out. Powell and Nurkic had very good games. Nurkic got away with many offensive fouls too- should have fouled out

I don't want to see any player get injured- but he certainly is a dirty player

Getting NBA rotation minutes for a contender before your 20th birthday is already an accomplishment. Not to dis him but T-Mann was 23 when he made his NBA debut. In garbage time.

Spot on. No NBA game is easy, esp with the brutal scheduling and travel. The Clippers won by 12, ffs.

In fact, I thought the crowd was particularly into it tonight with the Dame-Simmons-McCollum drama sidelined and Powell and Nurkic stepping up.

BTW--If you look at the box score in the paper tomorrow, you'll see Reggie shooting 7-19 and 2-10 for only 16 points. :puke:
But he also put up 6 rebs and 6 assists and a team-best PLUS+20. And zero TOs.

Is there a player Clippers could trade for to help with that? It's going to be a role player, though.

I know a win is a win. Sometimes we can’t be picky about how we got it. But gosh it’s depressing watching this team struggle against teams they should easily put away.

all road wins are good wins or something silly that people like to say
i don't actually believe in that, but i'd prefer to just look at it like the team is trying its best to find its form and identity, in the middle of some really important players being gone and integrating some returning/new ones into the lineup. it is not gonna be easy and more than likely the team's gonna have a lot more nights like this against mediocre competition than less. and to me that's fine if you're still trying to find your best, winning identity.
luke kennard starting is new. giving time to brandon boston jr is new. marcus morris coming back into form is new. figuring out what to do with serge, hart, and zubac, the list goes on. lots of moving pieces and i'm just glad lue is dialing it up and experimenting with a bunch of different options.

Everybody saying this should've been a blowout but that's not happening with two back to back weeks of 5 games in 7 days schedule. Add in the fact that we have no floor general/point guard who could make nights like this much easier then its going to be a fight til the final buzzer. Glad Lue is starting a "where's my shooters at?" movement with the lineups and moving the knuckleball shooters to the second unit. Everybody was pretty solid, nothing special tho. Good to see Boston progressing and getting more confident. How many elbows did Nurk throw last night? Sheesh, he should've been ejected.

yeah that too
team's completely taxed. they're not operating on remotely decent rest. batum coming back will help a lot but nothing will replace 2 days off in between games. not this 5 in 7 nights garbage.
