Not just a better fit, he's simply just better than Mook.

Problem with Morris is that he doesn't do the other things well enough and consistently enough, so his impact on a game drops a lot more if/when he's not making shots or scoring points.

With RoCo, yes, you still want him making shots, but he can consistently give you more positive impact when his shots are not dropping. Rebounds, steals, blocks, deflections, rim protection are simply not things Morris does or does as well as RoCo.

He (Covington) is better overall.

What I meant is that Morris is a more versatile scorer- he has a good post game, mid-range game, and is a more reliable 3 point shooter (last night was obviously an outlier), but his scoring isn't really needed when the Clippers are at full strength.

Off the top of my head the Cavs, Sixers, Knicks, Jazz, Blazers, Nets, Hornets, etc could use him. A Morris trade shouldn't be too difficult if it were to happen. We should go all in on RoCo even if it means trading Morris and/or Batum. And I like both of those guys but its a log jam right now. Its crazy how we couldn't get one decent wing player during Lob City with CP3, Blake, and DJ and now we have a glut of them

First priority is to keep RoCo, if we need to unload Morris then so be it.

If we can keep Morris, he then becomes a situational scorer for us in certain lineups. A lot of guys are much better 20 MPG role players than they are 30-35 MPG core starters, especially as they get older.

But if we can get better fitting value back for Morris, we should definitely do it.

I see a Morris plus someone traded for a future pick.
