Loved the game. Just 1 game though. They still have some tricks up their sleeve I'm sure. Hopefully role players do step it up a bit more at home. Also I could see Russ guarding kawhi a lot. I know it should be barbecue chicken but he's pesky.

Series is 1-1 and realistically either team could be up 2-0 right now based on how the games played out.

Clipper would rather not go back to Denver tied 2-2, but of course that is much easier said than done when going against a team with a Jokic caliber player.

Nuggets were trying to stop with with Murray, Jokic and Gordon crowding him. GS tried stopping him with Butler and Draymond doubling him. He nailed shots over all of those. Kawhi isn't going to be stopped by Westbrook. Denver can't afford to sell out their D in the Dome. Our role players should make them pay.

Nuggets best defense against Kawhi right now is Kawhi's teammates chucking up bad shots.

This is very fixable. The Clips have not played at full strength and full intensity all year. As long as we got through this healthy, it's as close to a win as you can get.

They fixed it.

all those double-teams. We were quick and hustling to rotate and cover. We threw 2 sometimes 3 man to Jokic, dude still got a triple double. But that's the way Nuggets are build. We gotta slow down Jokic and press everyone else. it worked on Murray and Porter jr., Braun couldn't even dribble the ball

I really hope the glimpses Norm showed down the stretch are a sign that he's getting it back together, because we still need him. The "addition by subtraction" is very real - if we still had PG and he started the series as poorly as Norm did, he'd be toast mentally for the rest of the series and there'd be no hope at all. I actually still have hope for Norm.

Good observation. Yeah, there was always the lingering panic or anxiety of a bad PG game carrying over to several other games. He was solid during that run where we beat Utah and went to our first WCF.

Lue is forcing Adelman's hands. Lue sitting Kawhi and Zu with over 5 to go in the 3rd last night was huge.

In Game 1, Jokic sat at the start of the 4th because Zu sat with just over 2 minutes to go in the 3rd. Jokic was off the court for about 3 minutes and then Zu came back in.

In Game 2, Denver wasn't able to build a lead when Kawhi and Zu sat. The 4th started and Kawhi and Zu were back on the court. Adelman couldn't afford to lose those non-Jokic minutes. Kawhi was hot and Zu would destroy them without Jokic.

Jokic and Murray played near and above 90 minutes on their home court. Kawhi and Zu are at about 80 minutes and heading home.

These are they types of plays the Nuggets are going to have to figure out or it is going to be a very difficult series for them:

They are swarming Kawhi with 4 defenders very close and he still hits the jumper. Ty needs to play DJJ alongside Kawhi, so he can slip in the backside.
