Re: Los Angeles Clippers Trade Proposals Thread
Somebody on another board mentioned a trade for Sessions and Brewer for Kaman. If we'd also take back Gomes' 3 year 15.5 mil contract, it works.
I'd love this. Think about it: we divide Kaman's 40 mil contract in 3 smaller ones.
Brewer is a very good wing defender, who's shot came a long surprisingly well. He works hard, dives for loose balls and wants to win.
We get back Sessions. He's a capable back up pg, who can score, shoot and dish. His D is shabby though.
We also get back a hard working SF in Gomes who will rebound, defend and can stroke it from 3, without making a lot of mistakes.
I questioned why the Wolves would do it, but if they believe they can trade AlJeff, Kaman would fit in well next to Love.
We could run this:
BD / Sessions
EJ /
Brewer / Gomes
Griffin / Sofo
Jordan
We could then use our 8th pick for one of Johnson, Aminu, Monroe or Aldrich. Any of those could come in and fight the starters for their spot, assuming Monroe and Griffin could play together.
We should try to sign Craig Smith. We'd then still have millions galore to sign a veteran shooter (think Joe Johnson, not Rudy 'Maggette/Thornton-Hybrid' Gay.) With the amount of free money we have we could even check out what Brendan Haywood wants.
Draft a good backup pg with our 2nd round pick (Sherron Collins). This would be possible then:
BD/Sessions / Collins
EJ/Brewer
JJ/Gomes
Griffin/Smith/Sofo
Haywood/Monroe/Deandre

I'd love Sessions
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

I just think that a facilitator like Iggy would be a great fit with a team like yours where you have pretty good scorers/shooters in both Baron Davis and Eric Gordon.
Clippers:
Baron Davis
Eric Gordon
Andre Iguodala
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan/Greg Monroe
I don't see us trading Kaman for Iggy, now that Kaman's played pretty good last season.
Though, we could offer you some cap relief and a pick for Iggy, if that's something you'd consider.
How about we go for DeAndre Jordan + 8th for Iggy? Sorry, but most of the 76ers fans think Iggy highly.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I would do that in a heartbeat if Monroe were to fall.

I don't like it at all. Kaman is worth more than 3 guys who are rotation players but probably wouldn't start for most teams. Brewer improved quite a bit last year, but the TWolves still only won 15 games and they need help at both wing positions. Brewer weighs under 190 lbs, so he can't really play full-time at SF. If Kaman is moved, it will need to be for a solid starter at SF.

Would you do the #8 pick for Iggy?

Re: Los Angeles Clippers Trade Proposals Thread
What are the chances Blake Griffin could me moved? Lets say they trade Griff + Collins for Bosh or Amare (S&T) and then sign Rudy Gay...
Diddy, Blake
Gordon, Xavier Henry
Gay, Outlaw
Bosh/Amare, Smith
Kaman, Jordan
-Instant contender

We can't afford Baron, Gay, Bosh and Kaman, and then have to pay Gordon's extension soon.

Re: Los Angeles Clippers Trade Proposals Thread
Would Beasley fit in at sf?
Since the Heat might be looking to dump him in order to have cap space for 3 big FA's... We'd be getting a talent on his rookie contract for nearly nothing (it might cost us the chance to sign either JJ or GAY, the others wont come here).

^ I wouldn't say so. He still has potential, but he is a "tweener" SF/PF, and I don't think he would mesh well with Blake on the court.

No secret we need a point guard. If we talked about B. Davis, what would you want to do with us to talk trade? We have shooting guards (Dunleavy more money to match dollars or Rush).

We can talk Baron Davis. Not saying we'll give him up for nothing, but he's definitely available for the right price. What's Indy's offer?

Word is, GS is shopping Randolph. I'd offer the 8th pick + cash for that....

Yeah but Randolph is more of a PF. I heard he gained 20 pounds of muscle which would put him at 230 pounds. But he isn't a small forward.

Danny Granger! LOL, Yeah right!
I'd say T.J. Ford + Brandon Rush + #10 for Baron.. Maybe.
