I have been too damn busy and have not been able to post or keep up with much, but my wife said a couple of days ago that Mathias was taking the fall for Blake. she swears she caught a tweet that what actually happened was Blake and Josh Smith had an altercation and Blake ended up breaking his hand. they were keeping it quiet then traded Josh for nothing, then waited until they were in Canada to make some incident to cover it up. not sure I believe this crazy story but I thought It might be worth mentioning. my wife says since then the tweet was quickly deleted but it was from Mathias himself. I didn't know my wife followed Mathias on twitterverse and I have absolutely no clue if this is even verifiable or anything close to the actual truth. Im just simply relaying a message.

No way that's true. It would look way better for Blake if he traded blows with Josh Smith than beating a close friend who's half his size. The only one who would benefit from such a cover-up is Smith. Not to mention Blake travelling to Canada with a broken hand and having Mathias actually get punched and treated for injuries at a hospital. This is all just crazy talk.

I would really appreciate some clarification from Blake himself. He did a really dumb thing and people found out, he should man up and own it.

Not sure if anybody likes the idea but just throwing it out there that Carmelo would lift his no-trade clause to play in LA with CP3 & pretty sure Blake fits the triangle with KP. His hair also matches the Knicks jersey well. Lol

I wouldn't want to trade Blake to NY even if you packaged Porzingis with Melo, so no.

Ugh, now Zach Lowe is getting in with the knee jerk reaction too. I can't wait for the playoffs so he's back to dropping triple doubles every other game and we go from suggesting trades centered around Jae Crowder and Rudy Gay to calling him a top 3 player again. My god how do people love to exaggerate :noway:

the best part about all the "blake for bosh!" "blake for this dude who can shoot!" is that it won't be very long at all until blake starts shooting 3's. and if blake was indeed traded for someone like bosh, everyone would be slamming the clips for giving away a just entering his prime superstar PF who can do EVERYTHING on offense, not to mention his rapidly improving defense.

Like I've said before, if any of them gets traded, the obvious one should be DJ as long as he can get you the right return. He's the least "star" like of the three guys, and to me Blake is the guy you should be adjusting your roster to fit around, not DJ.

....but, I also think there are some deals out there you can get for him that make sense.

Yeah, it's the Bledsoe trade all over again, every fan of other teams here was rushing the Clippers to trade him for scraps cause he didn't have any value with Paul here and no one would give anything for him. Cue him being traded for Redick and Dudley and everyone is suddenly loling about how they gave him away for nothing.

Blake has the potential to be the best offensive player in the league if he keeps improving and adds that 3PT shot, you don't trade that for some TMZ stuff and the fake perception that we need a drastic change.

Seriously I can't wait for this to blow over so all of those trade suggestions look as stupid as they do to me.

as much as you'd probably enjoy there being a conspiracy, it's just human nature.

people attribute a certain quality or value to another person, place, thing, item, team, entity, whatever. and they stick to it because it's easier for them to call back and reference that quality when they need to quickly understand something, as opposed to actually digging in and looking at what's really going on.

yes, some people do it on purpose but this is how human beings are in general. the smarter ones take a more analytical approach. the dumber ones just stick to the narrative. the dumbest ones resort to hatred.

you know the thing that just makes me think some of these guys are even more clueless than what their proposals imply, is that they don't see blake play day in day out. they don't see how incredible he actually is, how he evolved in last year's playoffs, how he evolved again in the beginning of the season, how close he is to being durant level. like, they have NO FKN IDEA lol.

instead they just know him as "blake griffin, PF who takes a lot of jumpers and puts up nice stats. punches people on occasion."

Lowe is just thinking out loud. A lot of what he says is pretty logical and something we've all covered before. However, I would point to his final sentence as his true and final feelings on the topic:

If Rivers decides to blow it up in July, he should investigate deals that send out Paul or Jordan instead.

I'm very aware of this, I already knew this before it was even posted as I listened to Lowe's podcast and he mentioned it, that doesn't mean I agree with that or I believe that the Clippers would actually do this.

just gonna say, i'm mildly amused at all the blake trades in T/T today.

not because they're giving me brain damage just by reading them. i don't like that part.

but because they show you just how clueless people really are with what kind of player he is. that said i can't hate too much because hey what else are you gonna do as a basketball fans, except dream up farfetched trades.
