Lets trade our 2021 and 2023 picks for Wilson Chandler!

Please dont remind me of how pissed off that Jeff Green trade made me.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Hey guys, member that time we traded Lance Stephenson and a #1 pick for Jeff Green midseason rental, and Lance had way better numbers for the rest of the year anyway?

I actually vote for Mike Miller instead.

Hes the type of defender that helps vs. small lineups.

15 points, 7 board, 5 assists, 5 blocks game 1 at the combine.

Wingspan isn't where you hope it would be, but the guy always comes to play

Jordan Bell with a 2.56 shuttle. Fastest in combine history...

The team isn't in a bad state (minus the draft picks) but that's what our D-League team will hopefully take the place of.

When you have max salary guys which we do, you have to hit on the margins and it's especially important when you killed your chances of hitting late in the draft by giving away draft picks.

Looking forward, for me, I'm anxious to see how we utilize the D-League because with each passing year, teams are finding quality talent there and I think with our own team and an actual department in Basketball Ops dedicated to the d-league, we can find some gems there that can aid in what we're trying to get accomplished.

A good set of players to look at are the second and third year players who are underperforming or not getting minutes or have a new guy ahead of them, etc

An example is someone like Mario Hezonja.

His team seems to be happy with him, but a guy like Rondae Hollis Jefferson is a guy to try and pursue etc

agree. gotta go after low cost former lotto players when available, if we want to try on new talent.

Ideally the knicks agree to trade Melo and Lee for Redick and Rivers and maybe Wes Johnson if needed. I think the team would be much improved. It sounds like Phil Jackson is trying to convince him to agree to some type of trade. Hopefully the fact that Melo has a house in LA and is friends with cp3 will encourage him.

Another guy I would like the clippers to get is Anthony Morrow. I know he has struggled in recent years but he can really shoot. He would probably be a good bench player for 15 minutes a game

adding anthony and morrow (as our poor man's redick replacement) wouldn't be a bad offseason at all.

well i mean in theory, because yeah morrow hasn't really been very good for some time iirc.

I would take a guy like Jodie Meeks instead of Morrow. Meeks plays better defense than Morrow and can hit the 3PT shot well and in volume and move around using screens too. Meeks has struggled with injuries the past two seasons, but still hit >40% 3PT in the games he did play. Of course guys like Meeks and Morrow still continue the issue of being undersized at the SG position, but better than nothing.

Another guy, and again a little undersized being about 6'4 is Wayne Ellington. His 17-18 contract is non-guaranteed, so we'll see what happens with that, but he could be an option too. Gerald Henderson is in a similar position with an only partially guaranteed 17-18 contract.

If they make the Melo trade and re-sign Paul and Griffin, it wouldn't be bad to have a roster like this:

Chris Paul / Raymond Felton
Courtney Lee / Jodie Meeks / Jamal Crawford
Carmelo Anthony / Luc Mbah A Moute
Blake Griffin / Brice Johnson
DeAndre Jordan / Diamond Stone

This is assuming that NY is getting Redick S&T / Rivers / Johnson. It would be great to find a way to move Crawford also.
I would think getting another backup C would be a solid idea too

Meeks would be a nice acquisition. However, as you said his injury history makes him risky.

Morrow isn't all that undersized. I think he is 6'5" with long arms. He is supposedly a poor defender though but I haven't watched him enough to know his specific defensive deficiencies

No to Morrow. He's awful. Wouldn't be able to play. He's that bad defensively.

Honestly, I don't like Morrow or even Meeks too much either, but beggars can't be choosers. For what we can pay and the role/situation we can offer, I doubt there'll be many better choices out there.

Jordan Bell with a 2.56 shuttle. Fastest in combine history...

Diallo with the 2nd highest vertical in combine history too. Those are two guys I'd love to find a way to get. They'd probably benefit from having a lesser role to start their career as well, so they can focus on playing defense and helping without the ball in their hands or putting up many shots. They're a very long shot though, but one can dream.

Taylor in CF tonight?

Wow.
Like the way he's worked to produce and become a part of this team.

I don't put any more stock into this report of the mutual interest between Paul and the Spurs than I put when it was reported that he had already agreed to stay with the Clippers last year. The Spurs were always gonna be the only real threat of signing him away, and they remain as such.
