Yes , physiotherapist from LAC came to Belgrade and he together with Teodosic doctor concluded, after exams that the injury is worse than previously thought. Teodosic is now on his way to LA.

Worse how? The biggest fear for this team is health, so I don't know if it is better or worse that guys are already getting injured, some stupidly. On one hand we could say "well they can get the injuries of the way", but obviously it doesn't necessarily work that way.

So is he gonna come off the bench? It looms like he's too good for that. But if you start him, we'll miss Beverley's defense. I wish we had Teodosic and Beverley in one body lol.

cause then nobody can play point off the bench and we'll be like 4+ years running with wackadoodle sg's chucking shots and never passing in the second unit

Remember a couple years ago when it was just Austin and Jamal running the back court and it was awful until Doc decided to have Prigioni be the PG with along with Austin and Jamal? That's how it would be if Milos starts.

too bad doc thought jamal and austin just mucking things up was his version of efficient offense

hmmm Lou is a combo guard who can pass better than Jamal

Austin is a combo guard with the court vision of..... nevermind. Lou can play the back up point. we can stagger the minutes between Pat an Milos. but they can play together, and they have played together.

I would start Milos and Austin and finish games with Milos and Beverley, trying to make these two the guys who play the most minutes. Beverley probably wouldn't be too happy coming off the bench, but that's what I think would work better. I would also try to play Blake a lot of time with the Beverley/Lou backcourt, while trying to play Milos with DJ/Gallo as the big men a lot of the time.

It's gonna be interesting to see how the rotation shapes up in the end.

In the post-game, Doc was saying he wanted the ball in Milos' hand more and in Beverley's hands less. So Doc will likely start to lean more and more on him as a ball handler / playmaker.

no stats show Austin to be anything but an average defender. Patrick is an elite, and Milos have not shown to be as terrible as he was scouted in Europe to be, and his offensive tools overshadow any shortcoming to Austin on D.

Let's see. Wasn't talking about Austin specifically except he was conspicuous by his absence in a defensive embarrassment [POR scored 134, actually].

The point would be Milos is a bit redundant if the extremely creative Blake and Gallo are on the floor [and Beverly is also a plus facilitator]. If we don't really need his offense, then his bad defense does not balance out.

FTR, Austin's offensive stats were very good as a starter. If we stipulate his defense is only average, we still must admit that Milos's is below average, perhaps very below average. If Blake and Gallo are also below average--and many think they are--then more defense is needed on the top 5-man unit more than overkill on offense.

Who knows? If Sindarious is the better defender at the 2, perhaps he's the best fit for the 5-man unit. He can go stay out of the way in the corner like Luc did when we have the ball.

And for the Austin haters [and you know who you are, LOL], besides injuring his butt in the first quarter of the opener, it also turns out he had mono this summer and is still easily fatigued. He admittedly looked like s**t in the opener, but we should hate on him fair and square, not on a humbug. :curse:
