Just wanted to point out Ariza is anything but cheap. He has 28 million left on his contract which means 7 a year.

Really? I thought Ariza got the mid level last year. Either way, he's still cheaper than Iggy, Prince, or Miller.

Well I took that from some website but may be wrong. He may be cheaper than Iggy and Prince but doesn't have the same skill level on talent.

Would be a reasonable fit here though.

I think his deal was 33 over 5 years. So BoomFizzle is probably about right, depending on yearly breakdown.

He's not a good a shooter as I'd like, and I doubt this would be a salary dump from Houston's side. It would really depend on what they want back.

Just posted this in the T&T board. How does this sound? Do you think it's fair? I already got a few DET fans to sign off on it a few days ago.

Clippers Get: CP3/Rip/Okafor
Clippers Give: Kaman/Gordon/Baron/Rights to Aminu

Pistons Get: Kaman/Baron
Pistons Give: Prince/Rip/Daye/'11 First (Top 5 Protected)

Hornets Get: Gordon/Prince/Daye/Rights to Aminu/'11 First from DET (Top 5 Protected)
Hornets Give: CP3/Okafor

We would go with:

CP3/Bledsoe
Rip/Foye/Warren
Gomes/FA (Udoka)/(Novak?)
Griffin/(Sofo)
Okafor/DJ

I think it's been posted somewhere else, but we value him very highly, because he is still only 21 yrs old, and has a lot of untapped potential. The question is whether he will ever reach that potential though. He gets a lot of his points on putbacks and alley-oops, which are often highlight-reel dunks. His defense potential is great, which mainly is a result of his athleticism, which is rare for the player of his size. It is extremely difficult to watch him shoot free throws, even though he has at least decent shooting form from the stripe.

Whats the word on his behavior? any red flags here? just trying to get as much info on him as possible. Im pretty intrigued by his size.

Originally, there were a few questions about his work ethic, but from what I have heard lately, Blake Griffin has had a great influence on him and his preparation, so I think those questions can be put to rest.

we won't give up Schortsanitis as we're most likely signing him.

I wouldn't mind a Davis for TJ Ford + Rush deal, but i don't see our FO trading Baron right now, cause we want to win and need that vet point guard in order to do so.

I don't think Indy would be interested in that either.

He'd be the starting SF we could use though, the problem with getting a starting SF is that Gomes would probably get backup minutes then AFA would struggle to get quality minutes.

I'm not a fan of Marvin at all, and his contract makes me dislike him even more. I'd rather go for someone like CJ Miles. A Kaman for Miles/Memo swap is something that would work well for us in my opinion.

We could get more for Kaman then just memo and miles imo. But Okur's contract is expriring.
