Martell Webster doesn't look like he's fine from the injuries and Kris Humphries isn't really a C.

I am also on the Jamal I love you but you have got to go bandwagon.

Agreed using a 1st rounder to dump a player is alway a bad move.

Hawks fan, I come in peace, but you think there's any chance you guys trade CP3? And if so, is Teague/Mack/Scott/Muscala/Coupla picks for Paul enticing at all? Saves you some cash, gives you some depth at PG and the bigs and keeps you competitive for FAs!

Zero. And no, that proposal is not at all enticing. Teague is nice, but the others are minimum salary talents.

Understood. Disagree on the minimum salary talents, but understood.

cp3's the best pg in the league and the best of his generation. he's a franchise transforming type of talent.

if they were to trade him now, coming off his best season as a clipper, the team would have to be getting big name stars in return or generational type talents and oodles of picks.

or let me put it this way: since the hawks have none of that (horford is elite but clips already have blake/dj), i'd say something like korver/teague/schroeder/re-signed carroll would have to be the baseline for a trade.

CP and Blake need to make phone calls and try and persuade players to want to play with us. Harden got Dwight and Dwight got Josh Smith. I'm not saying we have to recruit superstars but we should have enough star power to be able to recruit vets at least.

As for the Hawks, I'd only ever hesitate if they were offering CP & Jamal for Teague, Korver & Carrol.

Chandler and Parsons and I'm onboard. But I understand the leverage aspect of the situation.

That is a possibility I brought up, but would include the 21st pick as well.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Marvin + 39 for Crawford's contract is a deal unless Upshaw falls that far.

Even with Lance, the same questions still apply because the team still lacks a true SF.

Will Paul Pierce be that guy? Will he decline his PO of $5.5M for the MMLE of 3 years $10.6M?

Will Wilson Chandler be that guy? Is he worth trading a 1st round pick and at what protection?

I haven't even thought of backup bigs at this point. I know Darrell Arthur is a FA but that's about it.

Anybody think Jerryd Bayless would be a nice cheap player to deal for? He's in his last year of his deal though.

Not sure what Milwaukee would want for him but Ive long thought he'd be a solid backup for Paul.
can have tunnel vision but doesnt smother the ball on offense. Works his tail off as a man defender.

just my thoughts on him from the eye ball test.

All signs point to Austin being retained.

Don't think any backup PG is coming with Austin around

what about a guy like Quincy Pondexter?

Cheap but he's got years on his deal.

At this point everyone should have their eyes focused on a starting SF, a combo forward or a forward/center. We have two major areas of need and two assets (tax payer's MLE and a Crawford trade).

Jamal Crawford to New Orleans for Norris Cole and Alexis Ajinca?

New Orleans could sign Ajinca to whatever contract will help make the salaries even and then complete the trade. And also pick up Cole's team option.

Perhaps it's wishful thinking but New Orleans might be interested in Crawford's services, especially with the Eric Gordon situation. They could use a guy who can handle the ball and make plays for others while having the ability to put the ball in the basket.

Don't see that happening as we still need a SF and PF.

If Doc trades Jamal its for a starting SF, Pierce or someone who can play PF and C.
