I don't like the idea of giving up Reggie to get Austin Rivers. Sadly Doc never gave him much of a chance. It would be nice if Doc would actually play some of the young guys.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Awful deal...

We still need to deal another player to hit 125% of salary and stay below the hard cap.

Doc is now responsible for dealing 3 1sts in 1 1/2 years.

Bullock (2013 1st), 2015 1st to Boston for Doc and 2017 1st to dump Dudley on Milwaukee.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

*$%#! Doc Does It Again!

Post#144 » by Ranma » Thu Jan 15, 2015 8:49 pm

We just traded away a young player who was at least wanted by one team in addition to draft pick(s) for a young player on an expiring deal who nobody wanted. He also just happens to be the coach's son. Doc needs to be fired from his GM post now! He played under Popovich so he should know better than to go Ned Colletti. The discarding of our future for pennies needs to stop now!

If we were trading Bullock I wish it was for Wroten instead of Austin. Wroten >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Austin

How does anyone screw up such a minor deal so badly?!

We should have just waited for the Celtics to waive Austin. Seriously. Then we could have signed him to a couple 10 days without giving anything up

Honestly guys.
What the hell is Rivers doing?
All of his trades suck and it seems like he's learned under Billy King, trading away draft picks left and right while also not improving the team.

Austin Rivers is yet another combo guard that's too short to play the sg positon and not a point guard. He was one of the worst players of the league last season and won't do much of anything.

Currently the Clippers are without any wing defense and any trade chips to get something done at those positions.

This is a firing offense in my book. Doc has gone full Billy King as a GM, and his coaching is nowhere near good enough to be irreplaceable. Get him away from this franchise before he does any more damage to our future!

the dudley trade is still way worse. I really dont think bullock is that great anyway...

Dont get me wrong, this trade is dumb, but bullock just isn't that good to me.

Oh don't worry, Austin will get a lot of chances to play.

How do we even really know how good Bullock is? He was barely even given a chance before being thrown away like used trash. I fully expect him to become a productive player in Phoenix now and torch us every time we face them.

And even if Bullock really does suck, it still amounts to Doc squandering yet another first-round pick. It's bad process and it does nothing to actually fix the issues with this team.

Potential Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers, Baby and Hawes off the bench. Likely see less of Baby and more Hawes and DJ with that lineup. Plus an extra spot open for Tayshaun Prince.

Well if your name is Austin Rivers you'll get a chance to play for Doc. Other than that, it looks like the young guys won't get much of a chance.

And just to add at least we're waving Farmar

Except Dudley was actually an above average NBA player before coming here, the place where previously efficient role players come to die (see: Dudley, Hawes, CDR), and we got Redick in that whole mix-up. Not to mention that Dudley when not injured, ie: this season and every other season but last season is productive.

Dudley this season:
7.3 ppg / 3.0 rpg / 1.7 apg / 0.9 spg / 48% FG / 40% 3PT / 81% FT / 22.4 mpg

Since Parker got injured (15 games):
11.1 ppg / 4.5 rpg / 2.3 apg / 1.5 spg / 51% FG / 44% 3PT / 84% FT / 28 mpg

Let's just hope we don't re-sign Rivers then package him with Wilcox and a 2nd round pick in order to clear cap space

The only reason why I won't like Austin is because it meant no Tony Wroten.
