This will be a interesting next few days.. especially after Monday when you know there'll be more dialogue and surveying going on in Brooklyn on both sides.

Will be interesting to see who does and does NOT play in that game (even maybe Kawhi and/or PG.. though I doubt either of them go out in a trade there) -- aka 1-3 guys may be staying in NY for the rest of the season.

What about two trades with the Nets?

First, trade for Irving and Harris.

And then a second / separate trade for Royce O'Neal using the Ibaka trade exception

A haul of Irving, O'Neal and Harris wouldn't be bad.

O'Neal and Harris could replace MMSr. and Kennard if they are traded.

Please no Kyrie, guy is straight up cancer. We would probably have to give up both Powell and Mann to get him. I understand we are in win it now mode, but please stay away from the cancer.

This was before we officially entered the race. Supposedly they want a mix of flexible contracts, guys who can help them compete now, and want to unload the contract of Harris.

Assume it’s Irving/Harris we’d have to use something like RoCo/Kennard/Morris/Jackson.

Sticking points could be if they want Powell and/or Mann instead of some combo above. If Clippers have to use one or both then we need to get Sharpe in return.

Clippers must be all in if reports are true they made a strong offer.

Either way Monday will be interesting.

No interest in Reggie or Marcus. I maybe want Kennard and maybe RoCo but I need Powell, Boston and a pick. Mann I like but not sure he's a HOT COMMODITY at $11M per year starting next year. Word is they want vets and somebody on the radio mentioned Batum but that would kill our mojo.

I can't even make the RealGM trade checker work so I'm giving up but I think some combination of this is fair

Powell
RoCo
Kennard
Boston
multiple 2nd rounders
Reggie if you want him

Kyrie [expiring]
Seth Curry [expiring]
Markieff Morris [because why not lol]

But frankly, I think Ballmer is playing fantasy basketball at this point. Any character guys we have [Reggie, Zu, Batum, RoCo, maybe Norman] are here pretty much by accident. This is not to say the others are jerks, but it is to say they're not guys you'd seek out to go to war with. And Kyrie IS a total wtf.

You know, since we're all proposing our fantasy lineups, this is my All-Character 5, GUYS YOU'D WANT GETTING YOUR BACK IN A DARK ALLEY lineup.

And I'll take Kawhi as my ringer. He's a gunfighter and he shoots straight.

Seriously. I'd really like to see that lineup. I'll take my chances with those 5. And Kawhi. ;-) C'mon Ty, give it a try.

Hmm...Kennard and Covington did not play today against the Knicks. I wonder...

I'll only say this about a potential Kyrie trade: I'd only go for it if we didn't give up too much, we would somehow be guaranteed a chip this season, and we got rid of him right afterwards. That's how I feel about adding a guy like that to our roster and having to root for him.

https://www.spurstalk.com/spurs-busy-kyrie-irving-trade-demand/

-A Spurs insider tells me the Los Angeles Clippers are another team who has contacted the Spurs about potentially putting together a three-team trade. The exact terms of the deal are unclear but it included Kyrie Irving ending up on the Clippers and the Spurs receiving a first round pick to absorb an unwanted contract.

However, the same source tells me that Clippers have made other offers to the Nets that don’t include the Spurs.

Nets fan here. I'll be honest with you Clippers fam
if the deal doesn't include Powell and Mann, no thank you. That trade proposed in that tweet is really awful.

Your GM needs to pull in either Toronto or Chicago to send in some actual players that can help the Nets.

I'd be reluctant to include Powell in any trade considering how well he has been playing the last month

This is interesting....

Definitely didn't think the Clippers would be at the front of the pack.

You might be able to get Powell OR Mann, but I don't see anyway Clippers include both.

I'd say Powell is more likely as Kyrie would replace the third option scoring burst, while Mann is our utility guy that does everything well and little bad.

That's fair. I think expanding the deal is a necessary move though.

Is it true that you guys are going to cut John Wall?

It probably expands with a third team involved to give the Nets another win now guy (Minny with DLo/Reid?, Utah with Conley?, Spurs with Poeltl and Richardson?, Raps with FVV?).

As far as Wall, who knows, but it was absolutely genius of the FO to make the second year a club option. I'm still hoping we can swap him for Monte (if Kyrie doesn't happen) or for Plumlee

Maybe all this Kyrie talk is to get Toronto to part with FVV?
