holy damn some trade deadline, huh?

too bad we weren't able to make anything happen.

i think our current MO is something like: go after perkins and pray he has something left in the tank? not too encouraging.

KG's always been a ridiculous doc pipe dream. i'm just glad that it's over with so maybe doc can see how far his head was up his ass.

I'm very disappointed that we couldn't muster up anything by the trade deadline. This team will always have my full support but we really missed some opportunities to upgrade.

Chris has been wrong about everything so far. So I'm not trusting it.

He never really said that was a hope of his did he? I mean that's stuff we talk about cause we always hope for free improvements, but what he's always been preaching is continuity, which is something that has a lot of value in the league, as proved bye the Hawks, Spurs and Warriors among other teams. He seems to think we can be a good defensive team as is, I'm not too sure about it, but with the way we've been playing I can wait and see. Rather that than trading Crawford for some unproductive bad contract like Lance Stephenson as a desperation move.

I'd welcome the addition of Thomas Robinson if he wants to come here. I honestly think that we need a younger bench and we should at least have some young players and see if we can develop them. I'm sure it's still wishful thinking but having an old roster means that we can't make too many moves.

He's never outright said it, it's more of the thing you hear in reports from time to time: "doc is interested in so and so and such and such." I can't quote anything specific beyond what i've heard over the past couple years, though.

That said i think it speaks more to his overall MO in picking up from the veteran buyout bargain bin to fill holes rather than utilizing everything available like the spurs do. It's looking more and more like this year will be a complete burnout from the buyout side and that leaves us with no experienced youth to draw upon in case we have big time injuries.

I've notice that unfortunately Reggie Bullock isn't getting many minutes with PHO either.

Hope Chris Bosh has a full and quick recovery. Blood clots in his lungs, no good.

It's because he's a shooter who's afraid to shoot.

i have been wondering for a while:

is it just this year being weird or is doc losing some of the magic that made players want to die to play for him?

or could it be maybe they're not so fond of wanting to play with cp3 and blake? it really seems like in all of the reports of buyouts/FA's etc, that many of them prefer to play elsewhere.
