Deron grew up in Dallas, Mavs are weak at the point. So they signed him. That's all there is to it.

I doubt after this season anyone even brings up the Deandre mavs situation again. I'm sure Parsons feels a way, Matthews probably as well but they'll get over it and I don't think they are the type to start a scuffle on the court anyways. Cuban's running his mouth but that's what he does (sometimes awesome, sometimes not)

I think Matthews got a nice bump in his salary as a result of DJ backing out, so he probably wasn't all that torn up about it.

i think the clips are really reaping the rewards of doc's new drop back defense. you could see dj having a much more consistent sphere of influence in the paint.

Getting a quick post in. Wes being healthy to start the year was kinda surprising.

Finally got in the forum. I wish we were up more but still have an 8 point lead. Need to offense to click in the 2nd half.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

kinda feel bad for lance. he hasn't really been able to get going and he's having a very uneventful game.

he's just a little too passive and indecisive. an extra couple notches of aggression is where he needs to be for the starters to really be killing it.

Im not there in person to get a better angle... But looks like Lance shoots too much with his palm. No control over direction & way too much spin. Needs to work on spreading his fingers across the ball to control it on the release and slow down the rotations.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

yeah that's pathetic by Mark if he actually said that.

And obviously horribly untrue as he should know as the Mavs organization benefited immensely by him taking ownership of the team from Perot Jr.

Embarrassing.

ya, it's cool though. i still kinda like him even though most normal people wouldn't.

i was kinda thinking just now how josh smith is looking really in control on offense and great on defense. then i thought back to last year when i wrote a post about how smith and crawford would have this really odd synergy where crawford would steal all his shots, thereby preventing smith from taking horrible 22 footers.

well, i think that's pretty much happening. only problem is that crawford is still stealing shots from everyone else who needs them too. oh well, i guess if i can get an efficient josh smith off the bench i can't complain too much.

Dirk didnt know who to matchup with on that possession. Austin buries a three.

watching the athleticism on the bench this year is so surreal, after watching last year's garbage fire of a bench.

i'm surprised that smith still have such high powered athleticism this many years in the league. also wes johnson, has always been known for being an athlete but his timing and little contributions really make it shine through. add to that austin's solid speed/hops and the bench feels a lot like the bledsoe years.
