I would rather be patient and develop him than play Patterson a consistent role

my takeaway--

Clippers very unimpressive vs the Laker scrubs :-(

but Kawhi and PG played most of the 1st half and finally put the Clippers back into the lead :-)

this is all I ask as a Clipper fan this year, for Kawhi and PG to OWN it

-Hopefully tonight set the tone for how PG is going to play this season
-If Mann can somehow knock down a few of those mid range jumper he's way better than Reggie Jackson.. maybe Pat Bev as well
-Kabengele and Oturu are two bigs worthy of development
-Ibaka is going to be perfect for us
-I see Kyle Bowman making the team

Really like what I saw from Oturu. Lucky to have him and Fi to develop.

Likely part of the agreement to get Ibaka just don’t let his minutes stay the same or drop

Obviously pre-season game with a lot of minutes to different guys, so not much to say. Liked how Kennard looked. Batum looked fine, hopefully we see more from him.

Ibaka starting C is fine, more spacing in the starting lineup, but we'll have to see about defense.

I'm going to guess that starting Ibaka is to get his minutes in now beside Kawhi and PG because they'll be the closing lineup. I'm hoping Zubac averages 24+ mpg this year and that'll probably require being the placeholder starter again. I don't know that the second unit is the best use of his talents.
