I agree. Powell has shown me some flashes of strong play in the last couple of games. West is on fire.

Terrible defending on the pick and roll and Chandler gets an easy alley oop plus the foul.

23-16 Hornets with 1:15 left in the 1st quarter.

23-16 after the 1st. Not playing very well on the offensive side of the ball, as the score tells you so. We are relying too much on taking contested jump shots, which is a plan that will never work. Hopefully we can ease the pain by converting a couple of easy buckets to start the second.

Clippers are showing some hustle early in the 2nd but just not making the smart plays where they can convert.

Al Thornton with a 3.

Thornton with two smooth looking jumpers.

Dumbleavy better give him some quality minutes tonight.

Who is leading the Clippers in scoring so far?

Q-Ross with 6.

Bobby Jackson flings a shot from 35 feet with a tick on the shot clock and drains it. :o

Only against the Clippers.

Wait a sec, he double dribbled!

Stojakovic with another three that is nowhere close to the hoop, and Brevin has been playing great.

I guess we can't complain too much about the double dribble after the Maggette 50 footer.

Thronton with the slam. He has seven points.

I think Kaman has been hung over from his New Year's celebrating. He has been nowhere tonight.

That's what I like to see from Al.

Clippers pull within 6 after Maggette hits two FT's.

37-31 New Orleans leading with 3 minutes left in the half.

Bingo!! Mobley for 3.

We're within 1. 2 minutes to go.

Clipps are now only down one. Ever since Knight and Thornton have entered the game, the tempo has switched to favor the Clipps.

We got a huge break when Tyson Chandler missed that easy layup at the buzzer.

It's all tied up at 41 at halftime. Bravo to the Clipps for their performance the in second quarter. The bench is playing great, specifically Knight, Thornton, and Mobley. The defense was great, especially Knight, who made some great plays on the defensive side of the ball to create some key turnovers. Kaman hit a couple FT's to tie the game up with a couple of seconds left in the half, so let's hope that gets him going. Chandler has been shutting him down, but I think Kaman will regroup and come out in the second half more aggressive.

Good half, Clipps!

My internet is pissing me off.

Tie game at the half. Like CD said, the Clippers were able to string together a nice run after Thornton and Knight entered the game. Ralph just said we finished on a 16-4 run. Knight has been hitting his jumpers and when he's able to do that you can't ask much more from him. He's always looking to make a pick on defense and is always efficient in the a/t column. I'd like to see Kaman have a better second half. We need to come out and play solid early in the 3rd and maintain it. The Hornets will be fired up coming out of the locker room after finishing the first half so badly.

Nice defensive possession and tough lay in by Maggette to start the third.
