I read that the rules that preclude Bam from being traded to BKN also rule out Ayton. Sucks for the Nets...

The Suns can give a good return, no arguing that, but it doesn't benefit the Clippers to have to go against Durant on what will most likely be a very good team

I think it has to do with Simmons contract type, you can only have 1 contract like that on your team. Could they trade Simmons to clear the way to get Bam or Ayton? LOL

Trading Simmons sounds like a tough task

yeah, definitely don't want KD going to Suns. I hope he ends up at OKC, Sacramento or Orlando.

Actually it might not apply to Ayton because my understanding was that it was only for players who had the rookie extension, where you can't add another via trade. Ayton would not be an extension.

Celtics as an option just posted, so Jaylen Brown?

Oh man that one makes a lot of sense as a starting point...

Unlike the GS situation he's not a free agent and everyone doesn’t have cap space so wherever he goes they will have to give up significant assets to get him while GS just had to clear some role players away.

OMG, not this again. There is no price low enough to make acquiring this team-ruiner worthwhile.

I hate that this will likely hold a lot of stuff up until the Durant and maybe even Irving deals are done.

I have no problem with Durant, but again, to finally win it after almost 40 years of misery with a Superteam would be a little empty. This team is made up of real Clippers. GSW won without KD, won with him, then won without him again. They have a lot to be proud of up there.

all things considered, i'd have said that this offseason, including our current signings and a hopeful return to good health, would have catapulted this team to at least top two in the WC.

but KD joining the suns is something i'd consider to be very alarming.

Sad to see Hart go (although he absolutely deserves the payday) but obviously great to see Batum back, although it was all a formality.

Hart absolutely deserves but I’m still bummed. Hopefully the Clippers have a backup plan.
