Rubio when he gets in a groove is a really good player, I’d do that trade. He might not be a leader, but Rubio knows how to point guard. I just haven’t seen much of him since he got back from injury, any ideas?

Rubio was highly praised coming from Europe but is often injured , even more than Kennard. Outside of that he would be a great pg with assists and 3rd or 4th option on offense.

yeah agree with all

if he's playing decently you do this all day and every day to balance the roster, as much as you would hate to lose Luke.

one caveat though is i would bet copious amounts of money that lue would think it's best to swap Reggie back in as a starter so he could pair Mann as an off the bench wing with Rubio. i literally would not trust the coach to do anything but shoot them teams collective foot in this way.

and I'm not sure that makes us all that much better. but if lue has decided the whole mann as a pg thing is pretty much over then i guess you do this and reap the marginal gains anyway.

I would have been all for Rubio before the ACL tear. But now he's on the wrong side of 30 and coming off a major injury, and we have enough problems with age and injuries as it is.

Yeah, I don't see a path to Dinwiddie unless it's a menagé deal with a third team giving them assets. RoCo doesn't help them as they already had Royce and added DFS, doubt they want Mook, Kennard is redundant with Mills, Harris and Curry (though, I'd say Luke is superior), and we aren't gonna give Norm for Spence, I'd hope.

as all this is going on i feel bad for covington/luke, but most of all mann, because he's been the god damn heart and soul of the team for years now.

all three have had their minutes jerked around all season so that morris and reggie can screw around for months at a time, despite being inferior players. and now they're the first on deck to be moved lol.

Clippers gonna/gotta get somebody

Mann is no starting point guard
or even a backup point guard

Reggie doing well as the backup but overmatched as a starter
something's got to give

Lowry sucks ass. All he can do now is foul and make dirty plays, he’s done.

Lowry is not better than Wall at this point.

I haven't seen him play this year and I'm sure you're right. But he's still 12/4 with 5.4 apg, which is better than Mann or Reggie and I think Kawhi and PG will follow Lowry [or Conley] as their leader.

We have a 4th-quarter problem.. The Kawhi-PG two-man game is not getting it done. Law Murray is on the case.

Convince Milos to come back, can cover him on defense well enough while he'll spoonfed everyone.

At this point, we need to try something, because Wall isn't going to have a come to Jesus moment and Reggie isn't gonna be Big Government consistently.

FTR, although a genius passer, Milos was a turnover machine and that's why he flunked out of the NBA. All you had to do was press him and he folded. Frankly, Mann is not bringing up the ball much and has not yet been pressured when he does. This is not a done deal.

Milos is out of the league because Doc kept playing him in lineups with Austin and Lou and blaming their inability to guard anyone only on him, then buried him on the bench until he gave up on playing in the NBA.

They’re going to make us wait right up to the deadline right?

The sellers are gonna make everyone wait it looks like. The Nets are still jerking the Mavs around on what was a done deal.

I heard that when Nets and Mavs agreed on their deal, Nets were given some time to find a 3rd party to improve the pieces they got (so basically they were trying to trade Dinwiddie again before they even got him back.) But they couldn't find another party, so the deal went through as originally agreed on.
