Matty B Should Stop Dating the Cray-Cray

Post#2122 » by Ranma » Sat Aug 15, 2015 9:03 pm

YardBarker (8/15/15)
The Memphis Grizzlies wing player separated from wife Gloria Govan last fall and is in the process of getting a divorce. TMZ reports that Barnes is now going out with Rihanna and has been on two dates with the singer. Govan seems cool with Barnes’ dating life, even joking that Rihanna better hook her up with concert tickets.

RiRi Rejects Matty B

Rihanna does some heart-crushing on Instagram. Matt is better off without her, anyway.

Derek Fishing in Matty B's Old Pool

Post#2126 » by Ranma » Wed Oct 7, 2015 10:19 pm

Ian Mohr, New York Post (10/7/15)
Knicks coach Derek Fisher is involved in a romantic relationship with the estranged wife of his former teammate Matt Barnes — and when Barnes found out over the weekend, he allegedly attacked Fisher, sources tell Page Six.

Sources said Fisher was at the LA home of Gloria Govan — Barnes’ estranged wife, who stars on “Basketball Wives LA” — on Saturday. Fisher and Govan have been dating for “a few months,” a source said, after Fisher filed to divorce his wife of 10 years, Candace, in March.

But when Barnes learned that Fisher was at his former home with Gloria, he drove 95 miles to LA to “beat the s–t” out of Fisher, sources said.

Following the Soaps

Post#2128 » by Ranma » Wed Oct 7, 2015 11:48 pm

It's funny. I'm usually not a fan of this type of superficial drama either, but when it spills over to the Clippers or any other of my teams or even the sports leagues I follow, I feel a sense of obligation to post so that others are aware. At least we can be relieved that we no longer have to deal with this in the locker room, plus, it gives background for future discussions such as the notion of pursuing a trade for Paul George while Doc Rivers is in charge. You can bet that if and when Derek Fisher is ever added to our coaching staff, we can count out ever getting Matt Barnes back to join the fold.

Hilarious. Love Matty B. Hate Fisher and the way stupid he used to wear his headband. He looked like a moron.

I hate when people use that measuring stick.
Each one of Doc's teams would have clobbered those Vinny teams.

first of all, Fisher is a bitch and deserves a beating where his **** is visibly protruding from his pants.

secondly, I don't really care Odom is in coma. I think I would have cared a great deal if it wasn't for him begging to get out of our beloved Clipper franchise to Elgin to sign with the Heat when he was a restricted free agent. so whatever about his coke and herbal viagra induced ****.

lastly, it seems Vinny has completely have run dry of anyone willing to interview him for a job with a deck of flashcards in his hand. somebody tell him he needs to upload his gimmick to iPad.
ehhhhh f it.

NBA Cast-Offs Including R. White and A. Thornton Duped by Serial Con Man

Post#2136 » by Ranma » Fri Oct 23, 2015 6:25 am

Jeff Goodman & Paula Lavigne, ESPN.com (10/22/15)
The founder of the fledgling pro basketball league AmeriLeague, identified publicly for months as "Cerruti Brown," told the league's operations manager Wednesday night that the persona is fictitious and he actually is a former basketball standout who has numerous criminal convictions for fraud, Outside the Lines has learned.
...

Late Wednesday night, hours after Outside the Lines began questioning current and former league officials, the AmeriLeague website prominently displayed: "Cerruti Brown is Glendon Alexander. YEAH you should google GLENDON ALEXANDER, he is a con artist." It was later removed from the site.

Brown and his small staff touted the league as being funded by investors and had announced recent successes in signing numerous ex-NBA players, including Royce White, who was taken 16th overall in the 2012 NBA draft. The AmeriLeague's draft, in which the six teams were set to disperse its 60 or so players, was scheduled to be held Thursday in Las Vegas, Bass had told Outside the Lines earlier Wednesday.
...

The league has signed several former NBA players: White, David Harrison, Henry Walker, Hassan Adams, Terrence Williams, Antoine Wright, Al Thornton, Josh Selby and Dajuan Wagner.

Harrison and several other players signed by the AmeriLeague have since entered the NBA D-League draft, sources told SportsNet New York on Thursday. The D-League draft takes place Saturday.

Team has a lot of wings now, so it doesn't make as much sense, but Thanasis is an interesting guy from a defensive standpoint and people seemed to think Perry Jones could still make something of himself.

Just saw the news about Flip Saunders. Man, everything that they had said was he was going to be okay, just needed to take the year off to recover. I listened to Sam Mitchell a lot on NBA Radio so I know he knows his stuff and I really like him as a coach but this will hurt the T'Wolves all year long. He was intertwined in that program for a long time.
