Glad to see Novak and Lin are still churning out wins for the Knicks. They're now back up to .500. It's going to get really interesting when Melo returns. He is saying all of the right things, but I'm waiting to see how it plays out.

Det the Threat wrote::pray:SEATTLE - A source tells KING 5 News a press conference is scheduled at Seattle City Hall Thursday to announce a deal on a new sports arena complex.
Chris Hansen, a former Seattleite, and current San Francisco hedge fund manager who has approached Seattle about his interest, is reportedly in Seattle.
Hansen recently purchased property south of Safeco Field on Occidental Avenue South, south of Massachusetts Street.
Mayor Mike McGinn confirmed last week that negotiations are underway with Hansen to build a new arena in SODO.
According to City Council member Tim Burgess, the mayor asked him, Council President Sally Clark and Council Member Bruce Harrell to come up to the mayor's office on Wednesday afternoon, where they were introduced to Hansen.

I heard about this. I'm glad for the city of Seattle. Who do they get if it all works out? Hornets seem like the obvious choice. I heard something about the Saints' owner and Dunleavy were interested in buying the Hornets. The Kings are another likely choice. How attached are the Maloofs to the Kings/Royals history? Their family formerly owned the Rockets. They have vowed to never want to sell again. Are they more concerned about just owning a team or do they care about the franchise as a whole? Any team going to Seattle needs to be known as the SuperSonics.
I don't know which Franchise would go to Seattle and that, to me, isn't the point right now.
The thing that matters is this plan going down, being approved by the politicians and that the team part can sorted out after that.
BTW: The Maloofs are pretty much done financially. They had to sell all their Las Vegas business and the only reason they chose Anaheim was them being given $70 mil by the Mighty Ducks owner to pay Sacramento.
Still, the franchise I'd be most OK with to move to Seattle would be the Hornets, as they never really made it in New Orleans(just look at their empty arena and they only met that attentence figure last season, because business people bought tickets and handed them to people for free) and still haven't found an owner for nearly two years.

No. I'll stick around, but I'll have two teams to cheer for.

What the heck happened to the Maloofs? They seemed to be doing a pretty good job emulating Cuban as the rich playboy bachelor thing, with a little Vegas glitz to boot.

It's what the Knicks get for stealing JR Smith from us.

Re: Around the NBA
I meant to post in here last night but I got too tired.
Bobcats end their losing streak by beating the Raptors. Knicks lose for the first time with Jeremy Lin in the lineup. I saw that Lin had 8 TOs in the first half. I guess we'll continue to see how other teams adjust to Lin now that he has more exposure.

Re: Around the NBA
I think it's going to be somewhat back and forth, as Lin rebounded well against the Mavs with a great game. Teams are going to scheme, and then the Knicks are going to watch film and adjust as well. All the while Lin still has under 10 full NBA games as a starter under his belt. What has worked better for teams is to double and trap Lin on the pick and roll, if they do it quick then it's hard for Lin to pass to the roller. But then the Knicks responded by having Lin dribble out to draw the double teasers and then pass it out, leaving the opponents' defense out of place.
I think Linsanity has sort of jumped the shark, because it's pretty clear to me that he's simply a good basketball player and no flash in the pan. So for him to go 28 and 14 in a win against the Mavs is not really big news any more. The Knicks clearly need him on the floor at basically all times, they are much better when he's out there. He can score or dish, but right now the Knicks need his scoring until Melo is healthy.

Re: Around the NBA
Some dumb chick called in on the herd this morning talking about how she's not really a basketball fan or into stats and all that, yet she had the nerve to say that Jeremy Lin is overrated! lol saying he's no Kobe or Lebron.
Uh duh! First of all he's a point guard and why the hell would you compare him to Kobe and Lebron?!
The next caller was like, I agree with what the lady just said. Jeremy LIn is overrated, he's over hyped. It's cause he's Asian!
After Colin Cowherd schools the dude, the guys next response was... "Its cause he's Asian, Come on man!"
I swear, some people are just straight up dumb ****.
Now I don't think Lin is a great player, but the kid can absolutely play. He's proven it in the last how many games. I love watching this kid shine. Dude fits perfectly in Dantoni's system. Yes he's prone to turnovers, but hell with that. The kid wins games and makes everyone around him better. I respect that.

No no no buddy...Pac has never ducked him. Pac has been after Floyd for 2 years. Floyd decided to call Pac this year and asked him
"Pac how come you don't call me no more little buddy?" "yo man here me out, let's give the fans what they want." "I saw your last fight vs Marquez and my spider senses tells me I can beat you now"
Pac was like
"cool! lets do this! 50-50 split right?"
Floyd said
"are you **** crazy my ****?!" "don't you know I'm the **** man?!"
Pac was like
"last chance bro. 55-45 split. I'll be the bigger man and take the 45 mil"
Floyd hung up the phone and was like
"Yo **** that little ****! I thought he was gonna say no" "Yo 50. what's Cotto's telephone number b? Tell that dude I'mma whoop his ass on May 5th" "Don't you ever dare me to call Pac again 50. That wasn't funny yo!" "you know how we do...TheMoneyTeam!"

Floyd wanted the blood tests way back too, paq refused. Correct me if I'm wrong but I just don't see how all the blame is put on Floyd.

Re: Around the NBA
PAC was willing to take less money yet Floyd still didn't want to budge. A 10 million dollar difference and the fact that Floyd promotes himself and gets 100% of his earnings while Bob Arum takes a cut from Pac is just crazy for Floys not to agree to those terms.
And as much as the world wants to see both men go at it, this fight will never happen IMO. Not with Bob Arum in the way. Very very sad.
I just wanna see the fight. And even though I'm a Pac fan, I can honestly say that I believe Pac would lose to Floyd.
And as a boxing fan I can honestly say that I believe Timothy Bradley is very underrated. I also believe he will beat Pac this June.
With all that said, I hope Cotto beats the **** out of Floyd! If not, then I hope Canelo Alvarez beats the **** out of Floyd some time this year.

Baron Davis already making his presence felt for the Knicks. Clock winding down and he decides to show boat and go behind the back before the pass and ends up costing the knicks a three at the buzzer :/

Deron Williams tore the Knicks a new hole, and JR Smith sucked today.
This is when the Knicks board is at its most fun to read.

this is what pac said on yahoo sports.
"He offered me $40 million, and no pay-per-view [money],” Pacquiao said, breaking into a laugh. “No pay-per-view. Can you believe that? Would you do that? Come on. What would he say if I offered him $50 million—not $40 million, $50 million—and said ‘No pay-per-view. Take this money and be happy, but no pay-per-view.’ He wouldn’t do it, either."
pac also said he would definitely fight moneymay if they did 50-50 split.
just in case you aren't aware, pac is much, much bigger draw in boxing today than floyd. floyd is delusional to think the world's very first ever 8 weight division champ is weaker draw than him. floyd haven't had higher rating PPV event than pac in years.
it is obvious who is ducking who. floyd is running his mouth while proposing unfair deal to intentionally sabotage the match from ever taking its place. floyd didn't even want to fight at all when pac was at his peak.
ehhhhh f it.
