I have wanted Marcus Smart here ever since I saw him check Millsap in the playoffs. His contract next year is $17M. He won't even be making $20M/yr until 25/26. We wasted too many years and too much money with players like Crawford, Redick, Lou, Reggie and Kennard.

Reggie and Pat Bev are redundant--one had to go. Unfortunately, between injuries and fouls, Bev simply is not on the floor enough. We wouldn't have even made the play-in with Bev instead of R-Jax.


Marcus Smart is a very nice player but the Celts' asking price was sky-high, which is why he wasn't moved.

The Front Office. Ty plays the hand he's dealt. Amir Coffey played the 5th-most minutes this year. Amir F*^%ing Coffey. On a TWO-WAY CONTRACT??!! And believe it or not, Kennard was 3rd. [Mann was 2nd, and Hero Reggie was 1st of course.]

I agree, Mr C--we need some youthful energy and athleticism. That's where the league is going, if only because anybody over 25--anybody on his second contract!!--has problems even suiting up. Half a million per game just to show up in street clothes and watch the kids sort it out.

And who could blame them?
