He's not lazy or soft. He physically can't handle the grind of an NBA season anymore, and having to go through this same routine every year with him has become exhausting and demoralizing.
Yeah. Understand the premise. I don't think its exhausting, but do agree its demoralizing; I guess I'm just more sympathetic as I've followed his career since his rookie season, and a bit more open-minded based on game-cycle to game-cycle variables of physical status being better.
In the least, for me its "we'll see" : )
All we can do is cross our fingers anyways. We'd be gluttons for punishment at this point to expect 60+ games and a healthy playoffs this year, but I did like how Kawhi at least is trying to be positive about it???
All I am really hoping for is the team plays hard and the new pieces sorta gel together, and that we beat Houston and keep our 1st this year. That would be an unexpected surprise given how little of our future draft picks we control.
