Everyone we got hopes for is getting paid way out of our price range. As always us fans undervalue player's salaries and think everyone is overpaid. I'm gonna add 50% to every contract prediction I do next year lol

You know what, maybe not getting anyone is the best that can happen to us. Have a bad year, get Doc fired or removed from the FO, maybe even a lottery pick, the come back next season with a lot of capspace. Things get worse before they get better, etc.

i think this offseason can still go well.

1. resign dj
2. get paul pierce via jamal crawford trade of some sort (idk how it works but people say it can so i believe them)
3. get gerald green VM
4. get brandon bass, ajinca, wright, or biyombo for MMLE
5. austin rivers 1 year deal on limited bird
6. resign BBD for 5m
7. get TT to sign up with us for a year as assistant.

however, if DJ leaves,

1. fire doc and all of his staff and FO
2. hire TT as new HC
3. both blake and cp3 have a westbrook/durant injury type year, but nothing too serious!
4. let austin rivers, dawson, royce white, hamilton, hudson get some real developmental time
5. win high lotto pick

optional:
1. sign lebron or durant, or combination of horford/batum
2. win #1 pick

good things can still happen to us even if next year is a disaster. let's just hope everything goes completely right or completely wrong. being in the middle is purgatory.

Nick, Thibs apparently wants a GM role like Doc has, so he doesn't get himself into the situation he had in Chicago. He'd probably be a poor man's Doc as an executive. And he's not half the offensive coach Doc is. Do not want.

And a lot of that is really unlikely. Every report says Pierce is inclining to re-sign with the Wizards. DJ's apparently Parsons roommate now and they have dinner everyday while he only talks the Clippers via twitter dm. Look at what guys like Aminu, Carroll, Milsap, Young are getting. There's a lot of teams still with caproom eager to spend, I don't think we're getting Bass, Ajinca, Wright, Biyombo for the MMLE. Probably not even if we had the full MLE.

Would love to be optimistic but things don't look good at all.

and yeah i agree with you. all that stuff is definitely pretty optimistic. all we can do is wait to see how it plays out.

Not really. He inflated DJ's stats by not sitting him in the fourth quarter like Vinny did or making him come off the bench like Dunleavy did. It's not like DJ magically got a post game, a jump shot, free throw shooting, or the ability to guard skilled bigs like Horford or Gasol.
