Raptors sign Alan Anderson. It will be interesting to see how he produces since some were interested in picking him up earlier in the season.

Knicks going HAM on the Magic right now, WOW. Like it's seriously ridiculous they're about to go up by 40 points.

Bet Dwight is real happy about opting in.

Tonight we got a little help from our friends. Miami took down Dallas to give us a 1 game lead for the 4th spot in the West. OKC took down the Lakers, which puts us 1.5 behind them for both the division and the 3rd spot. We have 2 more games at home (Portland and Utah) before we face Dallas on Monday and the Lakers on Wednesday. This is a huge opportunity to gain some ground in the playoff race and move further ahead. The team just needs to play with a strong sense of urgency and take care of business.

That was a crazy game. Knicks are 8-1 under Woody, injuries and all. Thankfully for the Magic, the bench played with more heart than their starters.

Hornets up by 6 on the Lakers after 3 quarters. Kobe has been struggling, this should be interesting. If Lakers lose and we win there will be a tie for the Pacific Division lead.

Lakers win the game by 3. The Hornets had chances at the end, but came up short. Kobe was scoreless the entire game and scored 11 points in the 4th. Kobe also hit a 3 to put the Lakers up.

Now we need to win against Utah to stay close with the Lakers and not slip in the standings.

More coach talk:

-Reports are saying that Stan might not be returning to Orlando next season. If the bigger name coaches are unavailable (and by that I mean Phil Jackson and Jerry Sloan), Stan is another option. I know people have their issues with him and his love for three's, but he can coach a good offense and a good defense, and he's taken a team to the finals (and before that took Miami, 6th Drtg, 5th Ortg to game 7 of the ECF).

-Thibs was said to not be pleased with the Bulls offer. I don't expect him to leave the Bulls, but in a scenario like that, the Clippers would have to be the first people knocking at his door.

What are people's thought's on Stan and his crew coaching the Clippers?
- I personally would love Stan. He's a good mix of offense and defense, and a guy that has seemingly been able to do some good stuff with different types of players. Though I will admit that I wasn't a fan of his utilization of Vince Carter (not using him in the post much), but he does some good things.

Don't people call Jerry Sloan a choker also? And Sloan is also a coach that runs things pretty tightly. I don't disagree with those sentiments, but who's Stan going to be tight on, Ryan Gomes? I think depending on the options, he wouldn't be a bad option to look in to.

Maybe if his teams best player is Chris Paul and not Dwight Howard, there will be a lot less choking going on. Not saying Dwight is a choker, but he has his limitations (FT shooting, turnovers, and iso scoring ability late in games).

Been watching some Bucks games since Ellis was traded. Not very impressed with his play.

Det and Og were right on the whole Ellis thing. He definitely was not something we needed considering salary, and giving up a big.

Well, no SVG then. I don't really mind him, but players have had their gripes with him.

I really did like what he did in GS back in 07-08. He was a mid-range and basket attacking assassin, and it was a good role. He started most of that year, but I'd like him as a 6th man, the problem is that who want's to give up a big man and then pay $11 million for their 6th man, unless it's like Manu Ginobili or something. So yea, hopefully he picks it up and figures things out on the Bucks.

In other news:
Antione Walker retires after being humbled by the fact that he couldn't dominate D-League players
Derrick Rose is back on the court with the Bulls, but played not so great in his first game back
Eduardo Najera fractured his skull....ouch...

A better question would be; if the situation arose, and we were in place for it, would you roll the dice on a trade centered around DJ and Andrew Bogut? Say GS is like f it, we want to go into full rebuilding mode.

An unlikely scenario, but I've seen more surprising things happen, like the Clippers getting a top 5 player through trade. 8-)

A healthy Bogut would make us a mean freaking team. But is it too risky?
