I do see a S&T Harrell for Rozier as realistic. CHA drafted LaMelo and will give him the keys of the kingdom, Rozier has an attitude problem and wants to be the man, Harrell would give CHA an elite PNR threat for LaMelo to work with. The question is whether Rozier is willing to eat his ego for the betterment. He’s an elite 3pt shooter it seems.

Plus Coach Bud and Lou have been together before. And Lou absolutely hated him.

I think he has a very strong indirect "veto" power over any trade scenario we can cook up, in that he could just threaten to retire instead of reporting to the new team and blow up the deal. Not sure how many scenarios we can cook up that he'd accept, or if Milwaukee would be among them (but it might).

I think that is just a pose- he wouldn't really retire. I'm sure he wouldn't want to forgo the money.

In addition, if he is tired of getting traded perhaps he should look in the mirror and figure out why he gets traded so much. I had high regard for him but his performance in the playoffs last season makes him expendable in my mind.

Totally agree its mostly a pose, but it gives him some power. Even though they're quality teams, I could easily see him trying to poison trade talks with places like Utah and Indiana, for example.

I think people are judging him off his last season in Boston and didn’t watch him in Charlotte.

I can understand that. In Charlotte he had the green light so to speak, and while he was pretty decent, he was nothing special. He was 25 years old last season, so he could still improve, certainly. In Boston, didn't he play better when he was more in control of the ball with Irving out?

Anyways, he's not a high IQ player, he's not a real playmaker, though he can break down the defense and pas, he's definitely not a floor general or leader. He is a scorer, yes, and that is nice, but he makes $20M, $19M, $18M, and people might even think last season was more of an outlier season. I guess it depends on what the Clippers are looking for. If it is a high IQ player who can control the offense, that's not him, if it is a 6th man scorer to replace Lou Williams, then that makes sense, though paying almost $20M/year for that doesn't seem like the best idea.

I hope they're not looking for a "6th man scorer." I don't know how many times this team has to go through the same playoff results before they learn that "6th man scorers" are fools' gold.

I would love to get Monte Morris.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Boring first hour of free agency so far. Guess teams are scared of tampering investigations.

Yikes. Let's hope this is just stupidity on the Pistons' part and not an indication of the market for backup centers.

Happy Patterson is back. He played well with the minutes he was given. I thought he should have gotten more actually.

Barf. Pat Pat is PG's "designated friend" on the roster. not enthused other than to keep PG up

If I'm JaMychal Green, Pat Pat stealing minutes is why I'd explore leaving... he brings nothing that Green couldn't do better and it was a farce that Doc started/played him over Jay (or extra minutes for Jay) before Morris came

How do y'all feel about making a trade for spencer dinwiddie? Do we have the asset to make the trade

JaMychal would be ahead of Pat Pat on the depth chart and I don't think he's resigned because of PG who's status has unfortunately taken a huge hit post bubble. The front office is not catering to Paul nor really anybody outside of Kawhi. Actually JaMychal should've gotten some of Trez's minutes.

-I think we should pass on Morris imo. If his twin Markieff is back on the Lakers Marcus won't play hard against them which will hurt us in the long run. I prefer resigning JaMychal

This feels like a bit of an overpay, but still, it's nice to see Gallo finally secure the bag:

That's the makings of a Lou Will based deal that makes some sense

i think patterson coming back is fine. i always felt he was underused so i imagine lue could get some decent mileage out of him. definitely under jmg on the depth chart, though, and i really do hope we bring him back.

the optimist in me also hopes that kenny atkinson can draw out the consistency in patterson that he's always been lacking.
