I am waiting for Philly to buy out Morris and then see him end up with the Lakers.

Looks a good team and bench to me, contrary to some of the doom and gloom I've read in here.

It's basketball, don't overthink it too much. See if you can find some better depth and full send.

Then we're screwed until he figures out that this isn't soccer and "just buying his roster" doesn't work in a salary cap league like the NBA. It's that simple.

He'd have a much better return on investment if he put that money towards getting the best front office, medical/training staff and coaching staff money can buy instead. But that wouldn't make flashy headlines, which is all this organization seems to care about.

Trade a 23-year-old at a position of need to a division rival for free, then bring in a 36-year-old who's redundant to fill the roster spot. Sounds like something Frank would do.

Listening to Sirius NBA Radio this morning and they were laughing at the Clippers players reactions when Harden and PJ came in. There was no celebration. There was no red carpet rolled out. They were "greeted", not celebrated.

Wonder what determines the chest slap vs the butt slap. Looks like the rookies get the butt slap added.

Of course we trade the only player we acquired who's under 30 before seeing him play a single game. This front office is beyond satire.

“Where’s he from? Serbia!? That’s not SoCal! Get him out of here”

Harden should be put into the 6th man role, ala Manu Ginobili as Westbrook is the Tony Parker.

Yea, I know, not happening, but when thinking in terms of cohesiveness and balance, that might actually be the best situation if ego's were not fragile.

Wow that was a chilly reception Harden got into the locker room.

Makes you wonder if the front office and owner ran it by the other players?

Maybe the fact that he forced himself off several teams is making them hesitant to embrace him.

Maybe they liked their current form and making a big change in the roster seems like a questionable move.

That is the one observation some have made about this trade, that the Clippers could have waited. But Philly probably pushed for it now because his situation there wasn't tenable.

In the locker room video, neither Mann nor Powell greet Harden. I actually like it. Their attitude is that Harden is no savior to the team. Just another guy added tot he roster. I am sure their attitudes will change once Harden treats them to a night out at the strip club.

Check out Kawhi's post game press conference. When asked about playing with Harden, his response was that as far as he knew the trade wasn't finalized, so he didn't know if he was allowed to talk about it.

Clippers outbid themselves. They could have squeezed Philly longer.

Both owners made it happen--directly with each other. Tired of the uncertainty. Ballmer in particular has so many contract variables floating around that one more pick swap isn't going to save or kill him. Let's get on with it.

Well Mann was finally going to be a starter, then Harden comes. Powell had that 6th man role on lock, now he's the in 7th man. Those guys both got pushed down in role and minutes by adding Harden, and Hyland is in the same boat, I bet he isn't rejoicing either.

Powell is a complimentary player, he's not a star, he doesn't have any legacy that's going to be boosted by a championship. He already had one with the Raptors, he's likely currently trying to maximize role and salary as his next contract will be his last big one. The trade might affect that.

Now of course as things settle, this should all change, but at the onset, one wouldn't expect guys whose roles are being affected to jump for joy.

Even the fit with Harden, we all know how it can be initially. New guy will be overly deferring, everyone is trying to make each other happy, but then at some point everyone to some extent wants to "play their game", that's when we'll really see how all this will work.

I'm going to guess he's the next Cenk Akyol. You can't trade someone for nobody. This is a pure paper trade.

Cenk has been on 7 teams [incl Atlanta twice!] but never played a day in the NBA lol.

June 24, 2004: Traded by the San Antonio Spurs (as a future 2005 2nd round draft pick) with cash to the Atlanta Hawks for Viktor Sanikidze.

June 28, 2005: Drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2nd round (59th pick) of the 2005 NBA Draft.

February 20, 2014: Traded by the Atlanta Hawks to the Los Angeles Clippers for Antawn Jamison and cash.

January 7, 2015: Traded by the Los Angeles Clippers with Jared Cunningham to the Philadelphia 76ers for Sergei Lishouk. (LAC also sends cash considerations to PHI)

February 19, 2015: Traded by the Philadelphia 76ers with cash to the Denver Nuggets for Chukwudiebere Maduabum, JaVale McGee and a 2016 1st round draft pick (Furkan Korkmaz was later selected).

January 18, 2017: Traded by the Denver Nuggets with $2.2M trade exception to the Atlanta Hawks for Mo Williams and cash considerations.

February 23, 2017: Traded by the Atlanta Hawks with Mike Scott and cash considerations to the Phoenix Suns for a 2017 2nd round draft pick. 2017 2nd-rd pick did not convey
