Olshey is still the same guy who made the Kyrie trade, drafted Aminu over Paul George, and overpaid Caron Butler. Still a better GM than Glenn Rivers, but that's a very low bar to clear.

The Kyrie trade was all Sterling, Butler's contract was more than reasonable at the moment (and exactly what the team needed), and there hasn't been one single GM in the history of the game that would look good if you list his three worst moves in a row. Armchair managing is very easy when you don't really think too deep about it.

I'd look forward to Eric Gordon teaming up with Derrick Rose in New York should EJ choose the Knicks given the legendary talk of their time together during their AAU days. I know neither were the same player they were due to age and wear but it would be a treat to seem glimpses of that previous chemistry.

I actually figured that Horford would either sign with OKC or Boston with the Thunder the likeliest possibility IMO. I was surprised to see Washington in the hunt but it seems like groundwork has been laid a long time before this summer. This is a big get for the Celtics whether they get Durant or not, but Horford's presence in Boston should be a bigger draw for Durant than Tom Brady.
