Horrible in-game coaching obviously. We had a chance to step on their throats up 21 and finish the series. I think it’s probable that this is good for the team in the long run IF we make it out of this round. We’ve needed a slap in the face all season.

I won’t add to the discussion of what Doc did wrong as others have that covered. On a positive note, their double teams of Kawhi below the free throw line really threw us off for a while, but I feel like we started to figure it out as the game went on. This was obviously the best Lou has looked. We controlled Game 3 throughout and we’re dominating this one, so I’m confident we’re the better team even with PG playing like a pussy.

With 3.7 seconds left, thats not the worst shot to give up.

But maybe consider trapping especially after he's dribbled it a couple of times, so that even if he passes it, the other Mavericks player probably doesn't have time to gather for a good shot.

That's an oxymoron. Every Doc excuse is garbage.

Of course, he blamed it all on the players:

The whole world knew Luka was going to take the last shot. Why not send 2 defenders on him? With 3 seconds left? Force him to pass or something? But no. Doc the genius had single coverage. Mo Effer.

Such a joke. It's never Doc's fault, always an excuse.

He's correct, this isn't blaming the players. What the hell is he supposed to do if players don't fight over screens?

Your can criticize him for a lot this game but this ain't it

Trezz played 17 minutes, far below his season average of 28. Zu played 22, more than his season average of 18. Yes, Doc tried to get his 6MOY candidate going after missing 5 months plus the restart. He doesn't give up on his peeps. Often he is rewarded in the longer term. This was not a Game 7.

Just because Trezz sucked doesn't mean Zu was the solution. That's bad logic. We came back from down-10 to send it to overtime when Doc yanked them both and went small with 8 1/2 minutes to go. Those are the facts. Doc DID make the key adjustment, and put us in position to win.

This is the vultures' board today, but everything's based on the faulty premise that doing the opposite of what Doc did would have worked better. No. That's not how reality works.

We almost won the damn thing, and I would have enjoyed it far more than them, because I didn't turn against my own team.

I criticize him for the collapse. Now I see what quake says about kawhi not fighting over. Last play is on kawhi. Game is on doc and pg however.

Zu only getting 22 mins, the Harrell situation, Harrell/Lou/Reggie thing, the bench in general, last minute plays, horrible rotations and more

Nah bro.

You've spent the better part of 2 years talking about #Earned minutes. The minute a player is playing minutes they haven't earned (particularly a player you like), it turns into a story about #NotGivingUpOnHisPeeps.

We may not be in this shape if Doc made these adjustments earlier.
This was avoidable.

And Doc addressed none of it after the game. Just "the players are emotionally weak" and "the players have to play defense."

This series is over. Doc would rather lose with his agenda than make adjustments and win.

At this point you're just shouting me down, covering over my posts with your trolling. If you are not going to respond to what I actually write, kindly just move on along. Doc did NOT play Trezz his usual minutes, nor did he in the other games.

More excuses. Trez is unplayable this series. Carlisle, who's an actual good coach (unlike Doc), will just keep countering him with Boban. 17 minutes was way too much.

Its not about the regular season. Its about matchups man. We can worry about getting them playing time once its secured near the end of the 3rd or 4th quarter or next series. We gave up literally in the second quarter.

Funny thing is, when Zu was unplayable against the Warriors last year, Doc made THAT adjustment with the quickness. But now he'll keep playing Trez this year even though he's unplayable.

Doc is all about his agenda, not winning.
