I'm all for it. We get some size in the back court, and a 3 point shooter as well. CP3's gonna get him plenty of good looks.

Chris Paul likes his team’s odds of signing free agent guard J.R. Smith.

"I think our chances are very high," Paul said Monday night after the Clippers' 96-92 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Paul and Smith spent two seasons as teammates with the Hornets.

"Who knows J.R. better than me?" Paul said of Smith.

The Clippers can offer Smith the opportunity to start at shooting guard.

"Also he knows he'll have the opportunity to play here," Paul said. "He can only make us better."

Mo won't opt out, and I don't think we'll be trading him any time soon. If it did happen I'd like to trade with the Hawks. Mo for Hinrich , T-Mac, and a 1st. Then get an expiring for Gomes and a 1st.

I have never thought we were going to get him...however there really isn't any teams with cap space that I think are a match. If it's a starting spot for us for the minimum vs any spot on the Knicks for about a $1 million more he may choose us. I just can't see him taking less money under any circumstance. I didn't think we'd get K-Mart tho!

BTW they really are literally making **** up to ban whomever they please.

and i also noticed that i left 13000+ posts over 6 year span there. i survived the ruven revolution, dodger forum collapse, wrigleyboy selling out and rhensley coup with the entire chiefs forum yet faker mods going overdrive mode after their 3rd loss made me the next road kill. what a joke of a discussion forum that place is.

If we don't get JR. Smith, I hope Olshey can find a way to get a player like Corey Brewer. Cheap yet effective.

Whether we get Smith or not, the Clippers will have to do something. Our bench is unreliable IMO. My bad. Gomes IS UNRELIABLE.

If I'm correct I believe our bench ranks 29th in scoring. Not a good look. Which is why I envy teams like the Mavs and Nuggets who have depth and multiple players off the bench who can actually play.

If we don't get Smith my guess is that we will have to go the the D-League. Can't really think of any wing men that are out there to sign.
