Will our next defensive stop be in Game 5?

We really haven't played well in the 2nd half of this quarter. Our last 5 points have been from the free throw line.

You can't really run and ISO 30 plays in a row and expect to have decent offense. For us at least

The difference between a good defensive team in Utah and a bad defensive team in the Clippers. Utah's defense dictated how our offense played down the stretch by taking the right player out of the equation in CP3. While our defense was the one being dictated by their offense because we had no idea how to take the right player out of the equation in Johnson. Sucks to suck

shrug, didn't think we'd be in very good shape with our shot quality because it was basically just relying on the team to hit some really tough shots. and with blake out and gobert back in, i'd say this game was pretty 50/50 or even worse for us.

we should have been able to win this game but doc rivers did nothing to adjust and stop joe johnson. i'm hoping ballmer took note.

We had a chance to really create some separation against the Jazz in the 4th. Instead we took a nose dive and the Jazz took over. I know that we could have played better. Hopefully we play a complete game back in LA. Sad thing is Jamal didn't play too bad offensively, can't say he'll repeat that effort in the next game.

Ingles Lesson

Post#50 » by Ranma » Mon Apr 24, 2017 3:43 am

Joe Ingles sure made Doc regret cutting him. Dude has been killing us with his defense on Redick and the dagger 3-pointers. It'd be nice to have a guy like that to fill our SF spot. Even when players fall into his lap, Doc's acumen for talent evaluation shows how lacking he is in that department as the de facto GM.

I know WeJo sucks, but should have put WeJo/Luc on just to have better size on the wings in case of a switch and also to have better length to recover if you had to double and get back to shooters

Yea, I read someone complain about this, but had nothing to do with the Clippers. He chose Miami over them when he was waived, and he took the much larger paycheck over the Clippers smaller offer.

Redick: 12pts (3/11, 2/7 from 3), 0rebs, 0ast

It would be one thing if he were just off with his shot....but he cant really get open. He's just so damn limited. Cant be a secondary ball-handler, cant guard wings of size nor PGs.

Is Austin close to returning? They need another creator who can actually defend.

The ghost of our many SFs haunt us I would take Caron Butler right now we need someone who can score and put pressure on Johnson.

Johnson isn't the quickest player. He is so difficult to stop because of his ball handling and strength. Pierce could actually guard him even at age 39 because pierce is very strong. However it seems like pierce has nothing to offer on offense

Yes definitely not quick but crafty and with veteran experience a deadly combo. Yeah if we simply needed defense we would just put Wes or Luc on him but it's clear Johnson needs to be forced to game plan on both ends. It may not be popular but I think Barnes or Stephson would of limited his game attacking the rim and cutting. Those guys would of been physical with him on both ends and maybe got him in foul trouble.

Hilarious Or Harsh?

Let's say Jazz defeat the Clippers this season. Ignore the major off-season stuff. Doc Rivers trades for Joe Ingles because he defeated his Clippers, and to make up for letting him go.

If the above happens, something's wrong with this guy.
