As I hit submit, we dealt for Juwan Evans.

Finally a backup PG.

I don't know anything about Jawun Evans, but I swear, if I find out that we missed out on Jordan Bell because we didn't offer enough money, I'm going to be royally PO'd.

You guys beat me to do it with the trade. At least we're getting another PG now.

Unfortunately, it was expected given that talk was that the Clippers were looking to buy a draft pick for $2 million, while everywhere else, I'm hearing picks are not for sale and that the ones that are are in the 2nd half of the second round for at least $3 million. I was hoping West could pull something out of his hat, but that is unfair to him. Who knows maybe we're still talking to Phoenix about a post-draft deal for Josh Jackson.

Josh Jackson seems to be the talk and star of the draft. No way the Suns trade him. Doc has been an utter failure and disaster for us :banghead:

-to top it off we still have to sign Blake and CP3. This is comically bad

Clips Couldn't Even Present Highest Bid

Post#48 » by Ranma » Fri Jun 23, 2017 3:41 am

Doc's previous bad drafting continues to haunt us even in a draft where we didn't even start with a selection. The price for Bell showed how much the Warriors value him. Even with Jerry West now on our side, Golden State keeps sniping us.

:banghead: :curse:

Medical report on his knee was pretty bad.

However, actually really like the Evans pick. We needed a PG to develop into a backup. Plenty of opportunities to do so either at the back of the roster, or in the D-League.

Will post a scouting report on him later, hes a guy in a poor, poor mans CP3 mode. Little small, but makes an impact, runs the offense, good passer, creates turnovers.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Guess we'll see what we do at #48. That is getting towards the end of the draft, so I hope this pick isn't a waste.

Thornwell actually caught my attention during my perusing of draft profiles but I need more information about him.

Well now we are getting some back court help. Not sure what to think of Thornwell. Hearing that he is a tough defender, that doesn't hurt if he can really defend at this level.

I like the Thornwell pick as well. Can do a bit of everything, two way guy, solid on D, can score, rebounds, good getting to the rim.

I have no idea who is making these picks, but theyre doing a great job.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

SINDARIUSSSS, GREAT JOB.
He's a big reason that South Carolina team got to the final four last march. Clutch, size, good d, BBIQ.
This pick doesn't look like coming from Doc.
Edit; mistakely i wrote that he played for a Florida team... this guy already started to blow my mind. :)

Thornwell was a Gamecock :)

I like this pick. Enjoyed watching him play in the tourney. Good player.

Back-to-Back Late Sleepers of Intrigue

Post#60 » by Ranma » Fri Jun 23, 2017 4:22 am

I have to admit that both Jaramaz and Blossomgame are intriguing and appealing selections, especially this late in the game. There was some interest on this board in Blossomgame's athleticism for last year's draft before he went back to school. Jaramaz has some impressive skills for someone so young playing in a professional league overseas.
