Congrats guys. I just woke up to this and am still processing. I’ve been wanting OKC to rebuild for a while and even suggested a SGA, Gallo picks and George trade quite a bit among our board and the gb. Didn’t expect to see this many picks going back. Hopefully George gets his shoulders healthy.

It's funny, but i wouldnt mind being in OKC or NOP shoes, i get to be smug for years, while still enjoying a decent enough product on the floor, with a good chance at sustained greatness down the line.

I've been a Clippers fan since 1988, when I found out that LA had a second team and we were getting Danny Manning. For 31 years I have been hearing about how we are LA's second team, we owe the Lakers rent, we're the Lakers little brother...

This trade and signing just changed all that. Today was more important than all of Lob City. Today we found out that the NBA Finals MVP gave us time to get a 2nd superstar because he wanted to play for us. He wanted to play for a great team, and the easy way out would have been to sign with the Lakers, but he wanted to come play for us.

We are no longer the little brothers of LA! The last decade should have proven that, but old habits are hard to break. I'm not happy about losing our first round picks, but they will basically be second round picks anyways!

If you wanted a rebuild, congrats right back at you cause this must be a dream come true type scenario. Presti was operating from probably an all time high leverage situation. He basically got the assets for two superstars when he was only trading one. Now you guys have the chance to fully tear it up, or pivot and still be competitive, while having a boatload of assets left. Gallo is still a really good player, and Shai's gonna be a star. You could make a trade for another good player, get under the tax, remain in the playoff hunt while keeping Russ happy, and still have that warchest of picks for the next decade.

It’s going to be interesting to see what we do. That being said, I’m cheering for the clips next year. This isn’t like Durant. I still love George and you guys have the best logo in the nba.

Clippers FO was working the night shift! In hindsight I can see that the delay definitely supported something looking to go down with the Clippers. The other teams were pretty set in their main core, so if he was choosing one of them, he would have already.

The wait for the trade shows what he was truly hoping for.

The team is so well built with an even blend of superstars, vets, rookie deals and role players, that doesnt concern me at all

Both PG and Kawhi get to sign their next contracts at age 31, if everything goes well we should have no problem offering those contracts because at the very least they will still be in their prime in the first half of those deals

I went to sleep a little after 10 and wake up to this! Overall great news. Bugged day in franchise history really.

Sad to see sga go though. I think he has all star potential. I liked gallo a lot too.

I think the clippers will need to shore up the center position. Otherwise big men like Jokic and AD will work them next season. If Dwight Howard wasn’t known to be such a difficult personality I’d say sign him- maybe they should take a chance on him anyway and just cut him if he ends up being too much of a malcontent

Huge deal. Fans should be happy that Clippers management is going for it. Only time will tell if it works out well but I'd rather swing for the fences than stand around doing nothing hoping for a walk with the bat on my shoulder. I think both the Clippers and OKC made legit moves. Both took risks but both came away with legit assets. Feel bad for Toronto. Kind of ironic that AD gave up his trade kicker but since he asked for a trade he did not really deserve it.
