It shouldn't have to go that route though. The Spurs laid down in the first quarter from a team effort but Lue just can't help himself but to go to the trash small ball lineups, let them back into the game, and now its now all about one one one-iso heroics to bail us out

I agree this imo this team is too old and slow for small ball.

Reggie, Norm, Mann, Morris, RoCo, Wall, Coffey, Kennard, etc. is redundant. Like less is more would be good for this team. Its a bunch of small ball with everybody wanting to shoot. Who wants to rebound, dive for loose balls, and play defense?

That was Batum but he's looked a step behind all year :-(

and RoCo has been ill [looks like COVID]
and Morris has never been a rebounder

Zu has already played 21 minutes!

Its a total team effort to get the big lead in the 1st quarter but in comes small ball which lets the Spurs back into the game as well has turns our offense into a one on one-iso ball affair.. then it become a "Please get hot PG and save us" game :banghead:

Exactly. Lue really is the biggest reason why we can't win a game without PG hard-carrying.

That’s a needed win and please stop playing Reggie and Powell together. Try everything else instead moving forward.

A great win. I'm hoping Kawhi is getting much needed rest to rehab. Hoping he'll come back sooner than later. 3 wins in a row sure sounds great.
Bring on Utah or whoever we play next.

That dunk by Zu :o Looked like prime Shaq!

Wall is gaining confidence, can't wait to see him once he gets in a groove. I like the slashing and playmaking.

Nice to get some separation at the end. Jazz will be tough, hopefully the momentum carries over.

I'm happy they maintained their composure and came back to win.

The Spurs play very well considering their relative lack of talent.

The refs were pretty bad tonight- it is good that they persevered and overcame that factor as well

Lue is actually doing something very unique. He's letting PG handle the ball at times with Wall as the pick man. If the D doubles or collapses on PG, he passes it back to Wall.

Now you basically have a point guard in Wall receiving the ball back with a 4 on 3 and Wall is one of the best playmakers in the league. He's going to get you an open 3 or a bucket to Zubac every time. A lot of point guards aren't big or strong enough to set those picks alot but wall is.

PG is also a good playmaker so he can hit Morris if wall isn't open. Pretty soon teams will stop trapping him sometimes and then PG can cook one on one. That's pretty genius by Lue

Great win! PG is and has been our guy. As he goes we go pretty much.
Oh and remember Boston Jr? Seems like a great option when that 2nd unit sucks
