You know who else can't game plan? The Mavs.

I have no problem with them keeping him out until the start of the playoffs. There is nothing to be gained by him playing. There is confidence to be gained by others. We don't see what work is being put in behind the scenes.

my guess is they are resting him intentionally, and he is not injured. NBA could very well investigate if he continues to be injured until he goes out and plays 40 minutes in game 1 against Mavs.
that being said, in the back of my mind, I'm concerned that we will hear the classic Clippers day-to-day story until we are eliminated from playoffs. Because thats what they have done in the past.

Co-sign. Why become shocked and in utter disbelief if he's injured again when we all know this could possibly the case. Of course I'm hoping he's fine and ready to go for the playoffs. I know everyone is sitting out on Sunday afternoon against the Rockets, but Kawhi playing in the Jazz game tomorrow night was the "fine line in the sand" where I would start to speculate that his knew is a serious problem and not just a minor concern for the team.

yeah, i think one thing that's important to recognize is that this is kinda uncharted territory for kawhi, to get this many games after quite some time.

i think some of you guys look at the org/lue/kawhi being purposely obtuse and are clutching pearls/acting aghast, but it's like

A. are you sure they're just doing smokescreen stuff for the sake of it? or can you at least entertain the possibility that the human body is unbelievably complex, not a single person in the world in human history has or has ever had a complete understanding of it, and that maybe kawhi is just taking it day by day, listening to his body, and will let the team know what's up when he actually gets there?

B. also, if there was no history of kawhi preferring to be quiet about, well, everything, i'd say sure, get those arms up. but i mean, cmon lol.

C. finally, it's a lot of self-inflicted pain to clutch those pearls lol. i'd say just drop em and be happier, but i suppose that's just me

Just prepare yourselves for whatever Clipper brethren so there's no shock our outrage. Low key I'm also wondering if the Kai Jones signing is associated with the mystery surrounding Kawhi's knee. Not saying Kai is on Kawhi's level at all, but it looks like we needed "More hands on deck" type of thing. A team rarely adds a player this late in the season who just so happens to be playoff eligible. Theis and Plumlee currently not at their best and a cloud surrounding Kawhi made the front office jump out of their comfort zone and sign a big.
