Don't see how that makes sense for us on any level. Terrible contract, terrible attitude, can't stay healthy, and we'd have to gut our team to trade for him.

Either way, this is bad moves the front office is making. I get that we want this player, but at this rate, we might be losing Kawhi and paul George next season. I think that if we don't go to the finals this year, then they might be gone.
I feel that we would have a great chance to resign both of them even if we didn't make the Finals imo. PG is definitely not leaving unless we trade him and Kawhi knows he has unfinished business with us and its time to make good on his move here. We gotta get him the point guard that he wants right now but our chances are good that they're staying. Deep pocket Ballmer isn't going to let this team fall into despair. If they were to leave best believe he'll have another star lined up to come to LA.
-Also free agent wise I don't feel like we're failing in free agency. A pg and another big and we're set. Lakers lost DHoward and Green- they're downgraded imo. Denver lost Grant and he was huge for them in the bubble. We're still on course. Doc is gone and we're getting rid of the turncoats and clowns.
I sure hope that you are right. This is kind of nerve wracking to see other teams getting better before our eyes.

Yeah, I think we’re trying to figure out a way to get Ibaka and Rondo but each want the full MLE. Ultimately I think we give Rondo the full MLE and get a cheaper backup big like Baynes or Thompson. I really hope we take a flier on Cousins.
I can go along with that, but should we pay the full max for rondo? Who else is left for point guard that is a free agents or trade?
I don’t think we have a choice, I don’t see any other free agent options out there who would move the needle for us (I’m not 100% sure Rondo would either). Maybe there’s a Lou Will trade to make.

$15 million is too much when he sucks in the regular season, and knowing the Clippers' luck, we wouldn't have gotten "Playoff Rondo" either.
I'm not sure why the Hawks signed him AND Dunn, though. Doesn't make much sense for them either.

You have to wonder if a fire sale in the spring and an organizational housecleaning in the summer is an option Ballmer is holding open by not taking on any odious contracts. [The Marcus Morris signing being the only hole so far in this theory.] Do you hope that Kawhi stays put despite a treading water season?
Or do you go full Hail Mary and get Westbrook and poison the sal cap for years to come? These are Ballmer's options--none of them good.

Why are people losing their minds 24 hours into free agency? This is lunacy.
