OK, it has taken me seven hours to get my blood pressure down.. lose a 21 point lead, turn it into a 10 point deficit, all with Porzinga not playing and Luca hobbled(? he sure did a lot of damage for a hobbled guy). It was really exciting. I had hoped it wouldn't be, particularly by end of 1st quarter looked like things were well in hnad.

But... PG again had a terrible offensive game. Where was game 1 PG? Harrell also just didn't seem to do it. And our inspirational spark was AGAIN on the bench.

Good points - Kawhi is just incredible in so many ways. Reggie Jackson had great game. Lou Will was back in full godlike form. Zubac really seems to be maturing and doing so much better, he was a bigger factor than Harrell -boy is that a positive change.

Easy to second guess in hindsight.. I didn't see that 3 from Doncic going in - he was several feet outside the arc, but wow he is amazing. If Kawhi is outside and the paint is unguarded and we give up a deuce or worse and and-1 then we're all hyperventilating in that direction.

I don't blame all of us for having 23 pages on this thread already - we were so close to a 3-1. the fLakers will probably be there by tomorrow night.

All of you on the board with coaching experience past 3d grade pee wee leagues, can you speak up? Because I am completely disgusted with the histrionic BS about Doc being stupid. Everybody in the NBA I guess is stupid also, right, since somehow they all think Doc is a great coach? OK, so some of you are smarter than everyone. But aside from armchair quarterbacking AFTER THE FACT nobody can seem to point out specific patterns or rotations that were bad coaching. I keep asking for that, and only emotional bullcrap keeps coming.

Last point - the series is TIED. Disappointing, but good Lord those of you saying it is over? I beg you please leave this board, you are not fans, you are sad little guys who don't enjoy the game but love the soapbox since apparently nobody listens to you at home or work or anywhere else. Please go root for the fLakers, or the Bucks or even better find a different sport.

I love this game, I love the Clippers, and I am looking forward to Pat Bev returning and PG and Harrell waking up and being beasts and us closing out in 6.

If you're a mod and you've given up on the team, please let somebody else take over the responsibility. Please. This is a FAN board not a whinatorium.

At this point, you would have to be willfully obtuse and arguing in bad faith not to see all the poor coaching decisions that people have already pointed out. And it's not hindsight talking. People have been complaining about Zu's minutes all season and about Doc's no-defense lineups for years.

and, once again, broad stroke generalities. You can't rely on past teams when most of us agree the personnel were not there. So that won't fly. Accusing me of arguing in bad faith is hilarious - I am not defending Doc but I certainly am not going to pretend (like you do) that we all know more about the personnel, game planning etc etc - If you are going to trash someone who the sports commentators all say is a top 3 NBA coach, then you have got to come with quite a bit of something other than flapping your gums. Yet, again, even now, that's all you've got, so you have not convinced me of anything other than you like to post your pontifications. You have zero credibility with me, but I do think your histrionics and the rise you get out of people who actually do discuss specifics is entertaining.

I haven't felt so bad after a loss in a while. Almost like the death of a loved one

Hopefully they rebound in the next game and the rest of the series because that was devastating.

It was terrible they lost the lead, but somewhat hopeful in that they fought back. It would have been a great sigh of relief to win that game. Oh well!

Bad coaching example? Ok. Screw the entire game. You have the lead. You have 3.7 seconds left. You put in 2 rim protectors, 3 taller defenders. You double team Luka right when he catches the ball with 2 tall defenders. Force him to take a tightly contested shot. Give yourself a good chance of winning the damn game.
You can talk about Reggie this and Kawhi that but why the fcuk was Reggie in the game?

Question.

Is there something that this staff thinks they know about Reggie that the rest of the viewing public doesn't? They seemed very content to let him and Kawhi switch on Luka down the stretch. They also poorly played the inbound (as pointed out by Tucson). Do they believe there's some defender deep down that they are trying to get out of him by letting him play?

It's not "broad stroke generalities" or "histrionics." The numbers are clear on how much worse we are with Trez on the court instead of Zu. It's not up for debate. Doc even adjusted in Game 3 to play Zu more and match him up with Boban, only to abandon the gameplan for no reason and go back to what wasn't working in Game 4.

I also shouldn't have to explain why playing all our worst defenders in lineups together for long stretches of the game is a bad idea. Especially against the most efficient offense ever. The BEST outcome we can hope for whenever Trez, Lou and Reggie are on the court together is trading baskets. That's not going to cut it.

I couldn't care less what the "sports commentators" say about Doc. They also say LeBron is a choke artist and Alex Caruso is better than Lou. The job of a "sports commentator" is to get clicks and ratings, not to do a deep and nuanced analysis of a team's issues. I've watched a Doc-coached team for seven years now and seen the same exact issues hold the team back every season. If we get embarrassed in the playoffs again, someone else deserves a chance to coach this team.

This is the same excuse LeBron and AD used after losing Game 1 to the Blazers, and it was pathetic for them, and it's even more pathetic coming from PG after three of the worst chokejobs ever seen from a so-called "superstar." Between this and his "I'm just not making shots" excuse, I honestly question how much he cares about winning and losing.

I'm not sure why Jackson is such a bad match up for Doncic. He is smaller, for sure, but he has really long arms. It is very frustrating that Doncic is somehow able to drive around him- Jackson is quicker, so it must be poor defensive instincts?

For those questioning why a single expert on ESPN or TNT doesn't question Doc? The answer is simple. Doc is one of them. I heard many instances when SVG very jovially questioned a play or two. That's criticism. Doc has earned this "goodwill" at the time of the whole DTS saga. And now I'll bet you ballmer is scared to fire the guy.
Move Doc to PR.
You know how Doc says "I'm not a real doctor?"
Well Doc, you're not a real coach either.
