This is all, hopefully, a play to force the Dubs to give Klay the max from the start.

I don't want him for that amount unless it's a two year deal.

Yeah they do seem like a good fit to give him a 3-4 year contract starting at $12-15M. In that case, I'll be glad the he got paid and thankful for what he did here, and happy to move on. More minutes for Rome and capspace to sign someone we can build value from.

I don't think this front office is gonna want to keep him at the salary he can make in the open market.
