PG13 handling more next to Mann/EG?

Happy to have Plumdog - don't underestimate his highpost passing game (even though the move will likely kneecap his fantasy value for me... )

Not gonna enjoy even more Mook

I guess Mann still starting, and give Bones a shot to earn some MPG over the rest of the regular season. Gordon trade was somewhat lateral, but him and Powell can be a good, active, 2 guard platoon since our point guard position is weak.

Maybe we pick up Beverly or Westbrook in buyout market.

as much as i was critical of reggie this year i will forever be grateful for his many heroics, especially in the playoffs. i actually WILL miss him and i hope he keeps his joy for the game.

For sure, Big Government has bailed us out countless times with clutch af shots. Best of luck to him going forward!

He'll always be one of my favorite Clips and I'm glad he got a bag after the 2021 playoffs.

yeah. someone on gb reminded me about how emotional he was after the playoffs ended and how he appreciated the love he was given here, before he re-upped.

definitely makes me feel worse for him because i doubt anybody wants to go to play for charlotte. in more than one way i do blame lue because i think he could have made it work if he simply made reggie a 10mpg occasionally reserve and featured the other guys in their best roles. but it is what it is.

I wouldn’t mind it honestly, if there’s one thing he can do it’s rack up assists. Him being waived hopefully humbled him a little bit, but we need the playmaking and just gotta hope he doesn’t torpedo the offense otherwise.

He will be like pouring a whole bottle of 151 into whatever mystery punch you already got on the table. It could go really well or really badly.

Meanwhile, we're still stuck with Reggie and Morris, no point guard and no backup center, while making the Grizzlies better. Make it make sense.

I'm thinking no one wants them is the issue.

Memphis will use him better since they have a coach and we have Lue.
This isn't an issue that started here, that's just the player he is.

Yup, you’re gonna get traded if you don’t play aggressive when the few times you’re healthy. I had high hopes for him here but yeah, time to move on.
Yea, it's okay, EJ is a better all round player, so it works.

i assume mann is still the starter and hyland will be the new "shoot you out of more games than he shoots you into small guard who doesn't play any defense" type. which this franchise seems to absolutely love, for no compelling reason.

ideally he's either really, really good or he's really really bad and we pick up someone on the buyout market to pair with powell in the backcourt. or better yet just let him play with coffey and see if coffey can bring back some of his magic from last year. we don't need a star in that spot, we just need not-bad.

edit: derp, literally forgot we traded for gordon lol

either way first half of what i said - still true

then i guess if hyland doesn't do anything then gordon absorbs more of those minutes

Does Clippers management follow our board or twitter. I feel like nobody was talking about Plumlee and I spoke him into existence. We badly needed him more than any other player. ClIpperLand is going to love him. Hes starting as far as I am concerned in a few weeks. Zubac is a rotational big at best.

I'd see him best utilized in a small ball line line up where he has 4 floor spacers to play with. That's how he turned his Houston season around

Lower upside, higher downside. One thing that tilts in Bev's favor for sure is he helps our team chemistry. We didn't necessarily miss his play, but we missed his fire.

Have to start thinking about what these moves mean this summer.

Clippers can package Gordon, Morris, Bones, our pick in the Bucks slot and those future 1s for the next guy who comes available.

That's not a too package, but the assets are there. I don't think Kennard gets much more than what we got. Plus, unlikely we wanted to pay Reggie again. We shuffle his salary down the line for Plumlees rights, which means Zu could be in a package as well. Adding Gordon's high salary slot helps us construct deals.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

The had Covington at C and a miserable time on the glass and on defense. They basically mangled their roster to accommodate.

10000000000000000% i would take him back in a heartbeat

he's a total idiot who can self-destruct the team in any close game in the playoffs but the team doesn't have spirit right now and that's what we need the most.

Sad to see Luke go but we have plenty of 3pt shooting
