Alright guys I got the solution!
Barnes +Craw and 2022 first rounder for Leonard.
Resign DJ to a 3 year 18 mill deal.
Trade Hawes and Big Baby plus 2020, 2024, 2026 first founders + a lifetime supply of Bush BBQ beans for Anthony Davis.
Sign Pierce, and some other real good guys for vet min.
Easy!
I'm already done. Wtf Doc! What's so hard about your job! Lol

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
Honestly,
1. Dump Jamal for any SG who can defend better than a parking cone.
2. Sign a starting SF
3. Push Barnes to bench to add some defensive grit.
4. Actually PLAY bench players so they can learn to fit in with the team.
and last but not least,
5. Train during the off-season.

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
We must get more athletism on the wings at all cost. Rockets just started attacking JJ after they saw how rattled he was this game. Need guys that can fly with our bigs in transition.

I don't know what kind of $ Gerald Green will be offered by teams, but I think he'd be a good fit as a starting small forward- very explosive offensively and a decent defender with length at the wing

i seem to remember gerald green being a very bad defender.
i would definitely take him over crawford, though, for myriad reasons.

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
I would like to see a startling lineup of:
Chris Paul, Lance Stephenson, Gerald Green, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan
any way this can happen
we need a backup pg.... Can Baron Davis still play? lol

At this point if the Hornets are selling low I would 100% take a chance on Stephenson. Would be a change from Docs retirement recruitment.

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
it would be easy to start the blame game however it would be better to look at the big picture. jj is not the problem. we need a bigger and better defender at sf and a back up point who can run the offense. this team is so close that one really strong guy could make a difference. doc needs to find that starter at sf, resign dj, and go forward from there. plus I would like to see blake learn to play defense. I would also like a more intense dj that gives it on every play.

Whenever he plays against the Clippers he looks like a good defensive player. Maybe he has mental lapses, but physically he has everything you need- long, athletic.

one guy i wonder about is still AK.
i've got to think he's got something left and he's gotta be way better than turkoglu. just don't know how much he wants to come back to america.

Aren't the Nuggets in rebuild mode? Could you guys get Wilson Chandler for Crawford and some picks? Then keep Rivers without overpaying him and sign a playmaker who isn't a score first guy like Calathes or Udrih + a decent big for the MMLE and BAE respectively and look for ringchasing vet min guys who aren't done yet.

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
well, we could maybe have. but somehow denver's GM is just as bad as ours. he was demanding two first-rounders for chandler and nobody's gonna bite on that.
that said we don't even have one, let alone two first-rounders. doc keeps burning up our draft picks in hilariously awful ways. we've also used our BAE already on jordan farmar (who was subsequently waived), so yeah.
for people who are on the outside looking in who think it's bad, well, it's worse. a lot worse.

Re: Clipper 2015 Offseason
one other thing i want to add:
part of doc's strategy this entire year was to use his picks as currency to create flexibility, then to sign all the inevitable mid-season buyouts/ring chasers who would be throwing themselves at his feet.
except, that didn't happen. AK took the first plane out to russia, ray allen is still retired, JO/amare went to dallas, perkins went to cleveland, we didn't even sniff KG. we didn't get ANYONE that doc was banking on. and the worst part, in a way, is that all those guys are just plain not good anymore. AK is the only one i think might have been able to give meaningful minutes, maybe KG/allen too but those were pipe dreams of doc that never happened. doc way, way, way overconfidently bet on himself thinking that everyone would love to come play for him.
instead, there was such a distinct lack of interest it felt like we were back in the 90's again where nobody would ever consider playing for us. so yeah, long story short: ringchasing vets had no interest in the team this year and i don't see them as a viable option next year.

Sources: DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul have had falling out throughout season, a fact that could push Jordan to another team in free agency.

I think these types of comments are more to create drama than anything else.

nickhx2 wrote:is there a limit to the number of second rounders a team can purchase?
also how do the rules work with teams purchasing first-rounders? pretty much a non-possibility right given the state of the nba today?
You can only send $3 mil in cash via trade for the entire season. That would be our best way to acquire a 2nd, cash.
Nobody is going to sell a 1st round pick for $3 mil anymore
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.
