This team is so dumb sometimes. The 3s aren't falling, so what do they do? Keep jacking them up and stop driving the lane. Just like that we are down big.

The one possession out of the timeout was ridiculous. It was like Lue told them in the huddle to only shoot 3s. RoCo was in the paint for a decent shot and then passed the ball out. They kept swinging it and still missed a wide open 3.

covington absolutely swarms sabonis which gets batum to poke the ball away, gordon recovers

goes to other end, PG passes to westbook who likes like he has every intention of taking the hero 3 and is like "nah, just kidding, lol" and gives up to PG who cans it.

back on the other side covington secures yet another critical rebound, paul george seems overwhelmed and barely gets it across to gordon who flips it to a wide open westbrook who loses it.

talk about a rollercoaster of emotions

mostly lots of good things happening, in spite of giving up the ball just now.

Because this is not the NFL. Even in the NFL, Andy Reid draws up a brilliant play where all 11 men know what to do but Mahomes still has to improvise a touchdown.

It's a players' league. Only 5 guys on the floor, the smallest number of all team sports except like beach volleyball.

And it's also like soccer. The manager isn't even a coach. You put 11 guys out there and they have to figure it out for themselves. All you can do is put guys in and take guys out.

well, for the first time in a few games, the team showed some life.

kinda feel bad for covington. played his ass off, clearly had positive impact on the game securing multiple possessions or deflecting/disrupting the kings on their side, and it won't be long before he gets DNP'd again.

What is it with this team not being able to execute in the last minute? We had it and just had to hold it and get fouled but we can't catch the ball now.

Edit: Ty Lue if you don't play Covington after this you are a fool.

PG has to be traded in the off season. He had 7 secs to get to the rim and settles for a brick.

I have said all along Covington's time will come
but I've watched him his whole career

Blame Gordon. The guy is an 84% FT shooter. He didn't need to give the ball up. Take the foul. Instead, he zipped the ball high across the court to Westbrook who is shooting 65%. You have to know your teammates. It was bad enough the PG wasn't in no hurry to beat the 8 second call. I am surprised they let it go.

We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Hopefully, tonight sums up the rotations going forward. More RoCo, no Boneshead.

So having not watched the game, missing some guys and losing a close one is unfortunate but doesn’t seem depressing or hopeless like the last 2.

westbrook played about as well as you could ask for.

pg played a really clean game all night. first time in a while he played like a real star, it feels like.

covington was a big difference maker as far as i could tell. got shot happy but it's hard for me to blame him, all things considered. i mean if you can hit the 3 and you do all the other things a PF should be doing (defense, rebounding, boxing out, passing, caring), i guess you should be allowed to.

obviously gordon just had a bad stretch but with his role being at least more solidified, he seems to have gotten back up on the horse.

at the very least it's the makings of a turnaround. i mean i still am skeptical one will occur if i'm being honest, because that starts with getting mann back in the starting lineup and morris racking up some DNP's while covington plays. but the thing is, even if all that were to happen it might be too little too late

i'd say it can't get any worse but it can lol. i have sympathy to anyone who is still waiting for the page to turn on this team.
