It's not really realistic from Washington's perspective.

For the Wizards the idea has to be to resign Jordan and there's just not any way that you can pay for a roster with 4 max contracts.

Porter and Gortat seems like the more likely scenario but that would make the trade unbalanced in the Clippers favor.

Would the Clippers throw in Williams and eat the last 2.5 years of Mahinmi's contract instead for Porter?
Probably not, Clippers have a lot of C's, and the plan if trading DJ is likely to resign Harrell and or Reed. Having Gortat, Harrell and/or Reed and Mahinmi all making double figures just wouldn't make sense.

The general idea was a trade around Porter and Mahinmi, not including Gortat, but I get the point.

Oh, sorry, so Porter + Mahinmi for DJ + Williams, no, Clippers wouldn't do it, because Mahinmi is not valuable to the Clippers and is actually a negative in the trade. So it's Williams and DJ for Porter and salary baggage which just doesn't make sense. Might not be workable between the two teams.

Do ya'll think there is any chance the Clippers would try to flip Tobias Harris for younger players/picks or do ya'll view him as apart of the future now?

Love just broke his hand.

So... about that Brooklyn pick...
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Does it make them more or less likely to trade it? I genuinely don't know

Not sure either, but it seems like it might open the door a bit more, plus with us having acquired Bradley. Hell, we could package DJ, Bradley, and Lou if needed.

I think its always been a long shot, but the last few days have certainly made it more interesting.

I think the FO views him as a young player to keep. His contract is not bad, he's improved gradually every season, including this one, unless a really good deal comes along, don't imagine they trade him.

I don't think that's gonna be enough for them, even if we move all three, but I said before we should be exploring pick swaps with them instead of trying to get the pick outright.

I also really don't want to eat the awful contracts of Tristan Thompson and JR Smith.

Brian Windhorst was on a pod today talking trades, said he expects DeAndre Jordan to either be in LA (assuming he means Clippers obviously) or in Portland after the deadline. No talks/traction regarding DJ to the Cavs.

http://m.espn.com/general/play?id=22301737

After the 37min mark.

Basically says that it's a pretty popular talking point around the league that Portland is hot after DeAndre and that DJ should seriously consider opting into his year contract.

He also talks Bradley and Lou trades after there too.

Does Portland even have anything worth trading for? IMO, they're a worse trading partner than the Cavs because they're loaded up with bad contracts too, but don't have any asset as valuable as the Brooklyn pick to offer.

I would imagine the Blazers would be making Nurkic available for DJ. Hes only 23 and easily as good as anyone youd get with that Nets pick, only hes a known quantity with zero bust potential... unlike picks. Also, how valuable is that Brooklyn pick still? I feel like that Brooklyn pick is pretty overrated and is living off the hype of last year. This Nets team is much better and that pick will likely be in the bottom half of the lottery.

There's still a better chance than people think that the Nets pick ends up in the top 5. I don't get all this talk of them being much improved. If you look at the standings, they're bunched up with the Suns, Grizzlies, Bulls, and Mavs. They're 3-7 in their last 10 games. It seems like wishful thinking from people who don't want the Cavs to have a high lottery pick.

The difference being that the Suns, Grizz, Bulls and Mavs are all actively tanking whereas the Nets don't have any reason to trade core players at the deadline and/or shut guys down for the season. It's not wishful thinking, it's pretty basic logic. Plus I couldn't give a rats **** if the Cavs have a high lottery pick or not.

OKC fan here. I was just wondering if any Clippers fans can see the FO building a trade around Jordan for Steven Adams. Ideally, Bradley would be coming to OKC as well. Would they be interested in a longer-term contract?

You guys should've agreed to the Blake Griffin for Paul George trade
