I think we may be working out Collin Sexton in the next few days. TMZ interviewed him in West Hollywood.

Brown, Melton, and Smith Headline Clippers' Workout

Image

Teams across the league are holding workouts for players, all trying to get an inside perspective on players they’ve been scouting from afar. For some players, it means traveling hundreds of miles on back-to-back nights. But for Smith, today’s workout with the Clippers was his first, and it happened on his 19th birthday.

“The workout was great, I learned a lot,” Smith said. “I need to use my legs more when I get tired, when you’re tired you just start getting sloppy. So, I need to continue to fight through my tiredness.”

Smith added he’s been told that shooting and ball handling are potential areas of improvement, but felt like he performed well in both areas during the workout.

As for Melton, this was his sixth workout, and he said the Clippers’ was one of his favorites. When asked how he’s been preparing, Melton said he watches a lot of film and hones in on players with two-way tenacity that are relentless on both offense and defense.

It turns out one of his favorite players to study is Clippers guard Avery Bradley.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander interview. He's been training in LA. Shouts out PBev as a guy he watches defensively.

LA writers didn't really give any impressions on how the monday workout with Brown, Melton, and Smith went.

Denver writers have a lot of clips though. Troy Brown, Zhaire Smith were there today. Seems both guys shot pretty well.

brown's shot looked kinda inconsistent to me. most of the times he followed through and held form he bricked lol. seems like something a shooting coach can easily fix though.

Magic fan here coming in peace.

I saw on twitter today by a LAC beat writer that a LAC is trying to move up for Porter/Bamba and have discussed trades with us and Dallas using both of their picks, but added that LAC would be needing to add further incentives.

I'm sure moving up in general has been discussed here, but have you guys came up with any realistic trades that make sense for both parties. Any players on the Magic currently that interest you guys at all?

I personally wouldn't even do both 12 and 13 for 5 or 6. But that's me.

Me neither. But if The Logo is eyeing a player, then we'd better get him that player

There actually hasn't been much local buzz about moving up. O'Connell of the Ringer mentioned the teams' interest in Porter during the combine but his sources seem to be shaky. It may just be him seeing owner Steve Ballmer showing interest in Michael Porter's interview at the combine. In the same article he mentioned Donte Divincenzo was going to head back to school when everyone else said he was staying in the draft.

The Clippers have guys like Deandre Jordan and Austin Rivers that have to make decisions whether or not to accept player options for next season and the team may not know until after the draft. Mgmt may not know team composition or have much flexibility. Seems most likely they'll just make the picks at 12,13. To me there's going to be a top 8 taken Ayton, Doncic, JJJ, Bagley, Bamba, Young, MPJ, Carter then the Clippers can just grab 2 from the next grouping of Bridges, Bridges, Sexton, SGA, Smith, Walker, Knox, Williams.

i'd move up for bamba and obviously donic/ayton but those guys aren't falling. don't think i care to give up 12/13 for porter, though, with his injury concerns.

Actually, "moving up in general" has barely been discussed here. Everybody's faking it. Nobody here knows jackspit except what they read on other websites.

I don't watch NCAA much and know nothing about Europe. Your guess is as good as mine.

Me, I've never seen him play, but I would trade for Mo Bamba because I've never seen anybody over 7 feet who sounds so much like a PhD since Kareem. I'm like, who is this guy? He knows the game and NBA history so well that I'd kick Bruce Bowen out of the broadcasters' booth for Mo tomorrow before he takes his first NBA shot.

Report: Mo Bamba Posts Sprint Time Faster Than John Wall, Russell Westbrook ⚡️
https://www.slamonline.com/nba/report-mo-bamba-posts-sprint-time-faster-john-wall-russell-westbrook/

So there's my uneducated opinion. We amateur experts here in Clipperland are scared as hell to give any opinions because we trust Jerry West will do something more brilliant than we predict.

If Jerry trades the 12 & 13 to get Bamba, nobody will have the guts to d-bag him.

Me, I want a wing who can run and jump and shoot the 3 and is at least 6'7", hopefully 6'9". Just like the entire NBA wants. [Why do you think Jeff Green still has an NBA job?]

The biggest laugh of this thread would be if we end up with Shai and Robert Williams, the consensus internet picks.
